MVP Options

Tom Brady ($17,000)

Tom Brady is averaging 24.66 FanDuel points per game, which is eight points above the next closest player. He has been very good all year long throwing for 2870 yards and 27 touchdowns through just nine games. That means he is averaging 323 yards and three touchdowns per game. Additionally, he has put up over 24 FanDuel points in six of nine games this season. While the Giants defense is around league average in points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, they have had some favorable matchups, but have given up a couple of big games to Matthew Stafford and Dak Prescott. Brady is averaging just under 42 pass attempts per game at a 67% completion rate. Brady will be the highest projected player on the slate and a great play in your MVP spot.

Leonard Fournette ($11,500)

Leonard Fournette has taken over this Buccaneers backfield since Week 4 and has seen 19 touches per game during that span. Adding to Fournette’s case, the Giants have allowed 24.2 FanDuel points per game to opposing running backs which is the 6th most in the league. Fournette has also been very involved in the passing game since taking over the workhorse role, averaging just under six targets per game. The Buccaneers being big favorites in this game suggest that Fournette could be in line for a big night.

Flex Plays

Chris Godwin ($12,500) & Mike Evans ($13,000)

Both Chris Godwin and Mike Evans make for great plays against this Giants defense as both are heavily involved in this vaunted Buccaneers passing attack. The Giants defense is giving up the 7th most FanDuel points per game to opposing wide receivers this year at 31.3. Godwin has posted a 57-717-4 line so far this season while Evans is at 41-606-9. Godwin has also received 17 targets inside of the 20-yard line with six of those inside the 10-yard line. Evans has garnered 11 targets inside the 20-yard line with 7 of those being inside the 10-yard line. Both are very involved around the goal line, giving them the touchdown upside needed to win a single game contest.

Daniel Jones ($15,000)

Daniel Jones comes into this game averaging 16.58 FanDuel points per game and has shown improvement this season as a passer. The game script should allow for him to attempt a few more passes as they are huge underdogs. While the Buccaneers run defense has been very good, their pass defense has been below league average. Additionally, Jones has the ability to use his legs as he has averaged 28.6 yards per game on the ground.

Value Plays

Kadarius Toney ($9,000)

Kadarius Toney has been electric when given the opportunities this season. His biggest problem has been finding these opportunities. Toney has shown he can put up big games, and over his last five games, he has received 31 targets. Given the Buccaneer’s weaker pass defense and the potential game script, Toney should receive an additional workload.

Evan Engram ($8,000)

The Buccaneers have given up 6.5 catches per game to opposing tight ends this season, one of the highest clips in the league. Evan Engram has seen 24 targets in his last five games and has found the end zone in back-to-back games. Engram gives us a nice salary relief to be able to pay up for some of the higher price players while maintaining a chance to put up a good score.
