NFL 2022 Thanksgiving – Best Bets and Free Picks

0

Thanksgiving is officially here and we all know what that means plenty of football comes with it. Whether you’re looking to play DFS or bet on some Player Prop Bets, we’ve got you covered in this three-game slate. The Bills head to Detroit to take on the Lions to kick Thanksgiving Day off this year. Then we have an NFC East showdown between the Giants and Cowboys. Finally, we head to Minnesota to watch the Vikings take on the visiting Patriots. Continue reading to see what bets our Faceoff team members are targetting in this one.

Buffalo Bills @ Detroit Lions

CBS (12:30 PM EST)

This is a get-right game for Josh Allen against the Lions. In his last three games, he only has two Touchdown passes. The Lions defense is just what the Doctor ordered. I expect a huge game with four passing touchdowns. The Lions have won three straight, but they aren’t going to be able to keep up with Buffalo in this game. Take Buffalo -9.5 and I lean on the over 54. – Steve DeAngelo @FantasySavvy

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys

FOX (4:30 PM EST)

Dallas went into Minnesota last week and absolutely obliterated the Vikings 40-3. Meanwhile, the Giants were outplayed all game by the Lions. Now they lose Wandale Robinson to an ACL injury after his best game of the season. Dallas should easily handle the Giants defensively and Dak and this running attack should have a solid day against an average Giants defense. Take Dallas -10. – Steve DeAngelo

New England Patriots @ Minnesota Vikings

NBC (8:20 PM EST)

The Patriots just sent Zach Wilson to the bench for Mike White completely shutting down the Jets’ offense. The Vikings are coming off a hideous performance offensively against the Cowboys and it doesn’t get much easier on Thanksgiving night against this Pats Defense. I expect Bill Belichick to have a plan for Justin Jefferson and I don’t expect Dalvin Cook to do much against a stout Patriots run defense. The NFL sack leader Matt Judon will also be breathing down Kirk Cousins’ neck.

The Patriots should be able not only to run against this Vikings defense but also pass as well, as they have not been very good against either. This looks like another primetime dud from Kirk Cousins and the Vikings, this time on Thanksgiving. Take the Pats +2.5 and buy to three points if you are able. – Steve DeAngelo

Player Prop Bets

Justin Jefferson Over 87.5 Receiving Yards (-117)

Jefferson is coming off his second-worst performance of the year after he caught just three of five targets for 33 yards against the Cowboys. The Patriots’ defense is tough, but their secondary has shown some holes at times. I’m banking on Jefferson to get back on track this week in a big way.

Jefferson has six games this year with 100+ receiving yards, three of which were over 150, and then another where he came up just short at 98. The Vikings might struggle to run the ball well against a tough Patriots run defense, and I’m expecting Cousins to be forced to throw a lot. Jefferson is matchup-proof and I’m banking on him clearing 100+ receiving yards this week and finding the end zone at least once. – Aaron Schill @aaron_schill

Ezekiel Elliott Anytime Touchdown

Elliott has played in 10 career games versus the New York Giants. In nine of those games, he’s scored a touchdown. He’s also scored a touchdown in four-straight games and has scored a touchdown in six of his past seven matchups against the Giants. Take Elliott to find the end zone this week. – Anthony Cervino @TheRealNFLGuru

D’Andre Swift Anytime Touchdown (+155)

It’s been a make-or-break season for Swift. In all honesty, it’s been nothing to brag about as he missed more time than he’s played. When he does play, he scores a touchdown or if you watch the Lions as I do, you see his almost touchdowns. Swift is now on his second consecutive week with no injury designation. The Bills’ run defense is a tough sled as they held Nick Chubb in check. When Swift scores, it will be in the passing game where that’s his real bread and butter. – Ryan Miner @RyanMiner_FFB
