NFL DFS: Week 11 FanDuel Picks
Thanks for reading our weekly FanDuel DFS column. Our goal with this column is to highlight less obvious roster moves strictly on FanDuel. Everyone knows that a Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs stack is a popular move and that Jonathan Taylor is worth the premium. But here, we want to highlight uncommon players to help you differentiate your lineups. Now, let’s make some money with NFL DFS: Week 11 FanDuel Picks.
Stacks
Joe Burrow ($7,400), Ja’Marr Chase ($7,700), Tee Higgins ($6,500)
Correlate: Darren Waller ($6,700)
This week brings three matchups set at over 50 points, including this matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Las Vegas Raiders. With many people likely targeting the Dallas Cowboys versus Kansas City Chiefs matchup, stacking in this game provides several pathways for unique lineups.
With the Bengals increasingly opening up their offense and also coming off a bye, I expect them to come out strong, particularly against a defense that just gave up 400 yards and five touchdowns to Patrick Mahomes. Las Vegas played a three-high coverage scheme against the Chiefs, an admittedly strange move given the success others have had going two-high. Since they didn’t change their defensive approach against the Chiefs, I’d expect Las Vegas to employ a similar approach against the Bengals, which should provide many passing lanes for Joe Burrow.
While I favor the Bengals stack in this matchup, I’m also okay with a Las Vegas stack. This also provides a pathway to save on receivers, with Hunter Renfrow coming in at $6,100 and Bryan Edwards at $5,500. Either one of these players is also great comeback candidates for a Bengals stack. And of course, there’s DeSean Jackson at $5,300, who always has the potential to break free for some big touchdowns.
Tua Tagovailoa ($7,000), Jaylen Waddle ($6,700)
Correlate: Michael Carter ($6,600)
If you read this column on the reg, you probably think I just copy and paste a Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle stack every week. They seem to make a way into this column every other week and deservedly so.
While Tagovailoa has been inconsistent (mostly due to injury), when the matchup is right, he’s stepped up to the plate, scoring over 20 points against the Falcons and Jacksonville. As for Waddle, he’s averaging over eight targets per game and is quickly making himself known as the number one receiver in Miami. And this week they get the New York Jets, who have only held a team to less than 20 points once this season and have given up 30 points the past three weeks.
Value Plays
Tyler Lockett ($6,800)
While Tyler Lockett is a player I tend to avoid in redraft leagues, he is the perfect player for DFS. Lockett has only hit double figures once in his last seven starts, but to be fair, many of those were with Geno Smith at quarterback, who was less likely to throw the ball downfield.
This week, we get Russell Wilson in his second week back from injury, after he targeted Lockett eight times in Week 10. This value play is simply me betting that this is one of those weeks where Lockett gets 10 catches, 100 yards, and two touchdowns because he’s due for one and Seattle will likely need to throw to keep up with Arizona.
Keelan Cole Sr. ($5,200)
Earlier we discussed the good matchup for Miami facing the New York Jets, but this is also a good matchup for the Jets, as Miami’s defense has struggled throughout the season. Keelan Cole has seen an increase in targets and routes run over the past three weeks (Player Profiler) and also occasionally lines up in the slot, where Miami often struggles. With Joe Flacco in at quarterback this week, I’d expect more passing downfield, providing increased opportunities for the likes of Cole.
Allen Lazard ($5,300), Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($5,200)
The Green Bay Packers face off against the Minnesota Vikings this week, and the Vikings seem to always find themselves in a shootout. While Aaron Rodgers and the Packers had a slow week against the Seahawks, I expect Rodgers to bounce back this week. While Davante Adams is always a great DFS target, Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling both have solid upsides and allow you to get a Green Bay pass-catcher without paying the premium for Adams.
Mark Ingram ($6,800)
With Alvin Kamara out, Mark Ingram is the next man up, and he proved last week he is up for the task. This week, he matches up against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that gives up over 100 rushing yards per game. Further, Ingram was targeted seven times last week, demonstrating his pass game usage as well. Ingram has the chance for a big game, and his value provides space to pay up for someone like Christian McCaffrey who’s at $10,000 on the week.
David Montgomery ($6,800)
I’m honestly surprised we are getting David Montgomery at this price with how he and the Chicago Bears’ running game have looked this season. While going up against the Baltimore Ravens seems like a bad matchup, we’ve seen them struggle on defense this season.
Not only that, but the Bears’ running game has looked only second to the Ravens many times throughout the season. The Bears average 136 rushing yards per game, and until recently that has mostly come through the running backs. I do have some concerns about Justin Fields getting more involved in the run game, but Montgomery is a strong runner and the Bears offensive line gets the job done.

Washington Football Team ($3,500)
Frankly, there are not a lot of defenses I like this week, particularly because I tend to punt at defense and find the cheapest team I can stomach. This week my favorite option is the Washington Football Team, who is coming off an impressive win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. My thinking is that they will be riding the high from taking out one of the best teams in the league, and also, the fact that they’re playing against Cam Newton.
Now, this is nothing against Newton. I actually thought he looked really good in the preseason, and I’m thrilled to see him back in the league. But when asked if had a notebook of plays just in case he ever faced Newton, Ron Rivera, who coached Newton for nearly a decade, said yes. I don’t love taking fantasy advice from coach-speak, but I do think there is something to playing against your former star quarterback, so I’m riding with WFT this week.
Contrarian Moves
Cam Newton ($7,500), Christian McCaffrey ($10,000)
Correlate: Terry McLaurin ($7,000)
I believe targeting a stack on the Carolina Panthers side of this matchup is very intriguing. First off, they’re going to be at home in Carolina, and Newton has brought a new energy to this team that hasn’t been there since week three this season, if even then. Additionally, Newton brings a dynamic to this team that Sam Darnold simply couldn’t, as Newton is a classic dual-threat quarterback.
We also saw Newton get Robby Anderson involved last week, who comes in at $5,600 this week. A Newton-Anderson stack is unlikely to be highly pursued but provides significant upside, particularly in tournament play.
The last note on this stack is that a Newton-McCaffrey stack is potentially risky, as both could easily vulture touchdowns from the other. On the other hand, McCaffrey is similar to a receiver on many fronts, so could still give that ceiling while allowing Newton to have a productive fantasy performance.
