NFL Player Prop Bets – Monday Night Football, Bucs vs Ravens

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens take on Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams should be playoff contenders this year and this could end up being a great game. Continue reading for my top NFL player prop bets for this Monday Night Football matchup as the Bucs host the Ravens.

All props and odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Baker Mayfield Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-110)

Mayfield had an excellent first year with the Buccaneers, averaging 1.7 passing touchdowns per game in 2023. However, the former No. 1 NFL Draft pick has been even better this season, averaging 2.5 passing touchdowns per game. Mayfield leads the league with 15 passing touchdowns entering Week 6. More importantly, the veteran quarterback has averaged 2.5 passing touchdowns per game this year, totaling two more in 66.7% of the contests.

Furthermore, Mayfield has had two or more passing touchdowns in three consecutive games. Meanwhile, there have been 10 games where a quarterback had four or more touchdowns this season. Mayfield and Jordan Love are the only ones with more than one performance (two each). More importantly, the Ravens have surrendered the fifth-most passing touchdowns to quarterbacks, giving up 1.8 per game. They’ve given up seven passing touchdowns to quarterbacks over the past two weeks.

Lamar Jackson Over 49.5 Rushing Yards (-125)

There isn’t a quarterback more dangerous in the run game than Jackson. The superstar has averaged 67.2 rushing yards per game this season despite Derrick Henry leading the NFL in rushing yards per game (117.3) entering Week 6. Jackson’s 67.2 rushing yards per game average is his highest mark since winning MVP in 2019. He has totaled at least 54 rushing yards in 66.7% of the contests, including three of the past four games.

The superstar quarterback can turn any rushing attempt into a 50-yard gain. Jackson has had 87 or more yards in a third of the games this year. According to Fantasy Points Data, he has the second-highest explosive run rate in the NFL among players with at least 60 attempts (9.4%). Meanwhile, the Buccaneers have given up the third-highest explosive run rate (7.6%). More importantly, Tampa Bay gave up 88 yards to Jayden Daniels in Week 1.

Baker Mayfield Over 13.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

While Mayfield isn’t a dual-threat superstar like Lamar Jackson, the veteran has had a career year on the ground. He averaged 9.3 rushing yards per game in his career entering this season, posting a 10.3 or lower every year. However, Mayfield has averaged 22.7 rushing yards per game in 2024, totaling 21 or more in 66.7% of the contests. Furthermore, the veteran quarterback has had 29 or more rushing yards in back-to-back games on nine total attempts.

Mayfield has been an impressive runner despite averaging only 3.5 rushing attempts per game. According to PFF, six of his 21 rushing attempts (28.6%) have been designed runs. Meanwhile, the Ravens have held quarterbacks to only 8.8 rushing yards per game this season. However, they’ve faced multiple quarterbacks with limited rushing abilities. Yet, Las Vegas has surrendered 21 or more rushing yards to quarterbacks in two of their past three matchups.

Rashod Bateman Over 34.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Baltimore has the NFL’s top rushing attack with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry in the backfield. Meanwhile, Zay Flowers has had a career year as the focal point of the passing attack, earning a 26.6% target share. However, Bateman has quietly become the No. 2 option in the passing game, averaging a 14.7% target share and 4.3 targets per game. More importantly, he has averaged 45.5 receiving yards per game this season, nearly twice his average from 2023.

Furthermore, Bateman has had 40 more receiving yards in 66.7% of the games this year, including 58 or more in back-to-back contests. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers have struggled to slow down opposing wide receivers. They have given up 36 or more receiving yards to 10 wide receivers since Week 1. Tampa Bay has surrendered 36 or more receiving yards to at least three wide receivers in the same game in two of their past four contests.

Cade Otton Over 36.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

The Buccaneers will have Mike Evans on Monday night against the Ravens despite the star receiver missing time in practice this week due to a hamstring injury. However, he likely won’t be 100% healthy, meaning other guys must step up. Otton had only one reception for five receiving yards over the first two weeks. Thankfully, the third-year tight end has played well since the slow start, averaging 39.5 receiving yards per game over the past month.

More importantly, he has become a consistent option for Mayfield. Despite Chris Godwin and Evans’ having massive target shares, Otton has totaled 44 or more receiving yards in three of his past four games. Meanwhile, the Ravens have surrendered 72.7 receiving yards per game to tight ends, the most in the NFL. They’ve given up at least 41 receiving yards to tight ends in every contest, including 100 or more in a third of their games.
