Deebo Samuel Over 24.5 Rushing Yards (-114 FanDuel)

The 49ers take on the Texans this week in what looks to be a lopsided one as most books have San Francisco as 12 or 12.5 point favorites. The 49ers not only need to win this week to make a wild card game but need a few other things to go their way. Either way, I expect them to come out attacking the Texans after seeing Houston upset the Chargers last week. Deebo Samuel has been an absolute weapon this year through the air and on the ground. He’s ran for 29 or more yards in six-straight games, getting at least five carries in each of those matchups. His receiving yards line is at 44.5 yards on most books too and I also like sprinkling a bit of that in some bets this week. If you feel safer with the receiving yards, you can get similar odds on Caesars at -115 for over 44.5 yards as well.

Amari Cooper Under 58.5 Receiving Yards (-130 Caesars)

This Cowboys and Cardinals matchup looks to be the highest-scoring game of the week, with a point total set at 52, the highest on the slate. It’s hard to argue against that total, but it also feels like a bit of a trap. Both of these defenses have been playing well and Dak Prescott hasn’t quite been as great as we all expected this year. Cooper has only gone over this line once in the past six weeks and five times in 13 games played this year. CeeDee Lamb has been the safer bet to get the yards this year. If you are buying into the high-scoring affair you can get the over on this line on Caesars at +100, but it could really go either way. The safer route is to take the under.

David Montgomery Under 99.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-110 Caesars)

One of the least exciting matchups of the week will be the Giants heading to Chicago to take on the Bears. Both teams are eliminated from playoff contention and it’s expected to be freezing temperatures and up to 20mph winds in Chicago. While I do expect the Bears to lean on the run more so in this one, I don’t see any reason why they give Montgomery a heavy workload, as they should be entirely focused on the 2022 season at this point. He’s gone over this number in four out of 11 games played this year, but tends to struggle against the Giants. In two games in his career against the Giants, he averages 14.5 carries for 52 yards and zero touchdowns.
