Blue Jackets/Lightning OVER 6.0 (-120)

I was fortunate enough to lock in this bet fairly early, and since then the total has increased to 6.5. Never underestimate the value that comes with locking in a bet early before oddsmakers and sportsbooks make adjustments prior to puck drop. 

The floundering Columbus Blue Jackets (12-25-2) travel to Florida this evening to battle the Tampa Bay Lightning (24-13-1). Losers of consecutive games, what better way to snap out of a funk than a home game against the rebuilding Jackets? Columbus have struggled on the defensive side of the puck having allowed three or more goals in five of their past eight games. This should play right into the hands of the likes of high-octane Lightning who play a skilled game and dictate the pace of play on most nights. I think we’re in line for a ton of offensive flare and firepower from the home team tonight. Don’t hesitate, ride with the over.
