Tired of losing at Daily Fantasy Sports? Not excited about going up against the sharks every night. Not a big fan of playing 100’s of lineups? Well, PrizePicks does not require you to do any of that. It is just you against the book. PrizePicks is a Daily Fantasy Sports game that allows users to create lineups that require you to pick an over/under on 2-5 athletes’ projected line. The picks range from players’ fantasy scores to individual statistics. No competing against 20,000 entrants, just you against the numbers. PrizePicks is available in over 30 states and anybody that is 18 years of age or older is eligible to play.

How To Play

First, you must pick 2-5 players to go over or under their projection and put them in a lineup. Each lineup requires an entry fee with a minimum entry of $5. If your lineup is a winner, then you receive money back based on the multiplier of the contest you entered. The two different style contests included are flex plays and power plays. Below are the different payout structures for each.

Flex Plays

Flex plays are plays where you do not have to hit every leg to make money. Flex plays are good bankroll builders and are considered safer bets as compared to power plays. The safety of missing one of your legs does decrease payout a little bit, but well worth it for the safety it provides. Flex plays payout as follows: (ex. 10x means 10 times the amount you entered the contest)

5 Pick Flex- If you get all five correct you get 10x your entry fee. If you get four correct you get 2x your entry fee. If you get three correct you get .4x your entry fee.

4 Pick Flex- If you get all four correct you get 5x your entry fee, but if you get three plays correct you get 1.5x your entry fee.

3 Pick Flex- If you get all three correct you get 2.25x your entry fee, but if you get two correct you get 1.25x your entry fee.

2 Pick Flex- If you get both picks correct you will get 2x your entry fee, but if you get just one correct you get .5x your entry fee.

Power Plays

Power plays mean you must get every pick correct to receive a payout. This is riskier and much harder to accomplish, but also gives you a bigger payout than a flex play. Power Plays payout is as follows:

4 Pick Power- You get 10x your entry fee if all four are correct.

3 Pick Power- You get 5x your entry fee if all three are correct.

2 Pick Power- You get 3x your entry fee if both picks are correct.

While there are only these two contest types, PrizePicks offers a large number of sports to pick from. Each lineup can contain only one sport or you can mix and match as many sports as you would like. Sports start at all times of day, so you can almost always have something to watch. Some of the sports that you may not be familiar with that PrizePicks has is CSGO, LOL, Disc Golf, truck racing, and Jai Alai. PrizePick is extensive in adding sports and has a massive list of Esports to wager on. For the major sports, PrizePicks offers a vast selection of different props so finding an edge may be easier than you think.

Strategy

PrizePicks lineups are all about finding the best props to pair. There are many ways to do some research to find good spots. Some basic ones include looking into recent history. This just requires you to look back at their recent five to ten games to see their recent success. PrizePicks has a feature on each player that allows you to see their most recent five games in any particular category. Also checking on the pace of the game and their opponent’s defensive statistics is a way to add more data to help find winners. Another popular way to pair props is using correlation. For example, pairing a WR or TE with their QB is a positive correlation because they both succeed together. You could also find a game you think will be really high-scoring and pair players from that game since you think the game will have more opportunities to accumulate statistics. These are just some very basic ways to find favorable prop bets, and you should develop your own system in order to be successful.

PrizePicks Review

If you are looking for a way to combine sports betting with Daily Fantasy Sports, then PrizePicks is a must. The enormous offering of all the sports they carry will give you action at all times. As mentioned earlier, they offer pretty much any sport you can think of, so finding something to play should never be a problem. Their app is extremely user-friendly and very easy to navigate. Each sport is listed at the top of the app with a picture and its abbreviation. After you click on the individual sport each type of prop for that sport will appear below.

Below the prop section are explanations on how to play, a scoring chart for the sport, FAQ/Rules, and live support. Just below the information section, you have a search function. The search function allows you to look for a certain player rather than search the entire board. If you click on the top left button with three horizontal lines it takes you to the menu. The menu has your entries places, tutorials, and your current balance. The app has a couple of negatives in which the search function malfunctions and the fact that you do not say logged in on every visit to the app. Other than those small minor problems, the app is very functional and easy to navigate making the experience enjoyable and easy for anybody.

Promotions

PrizePicks also does a good job of incorporating different types of promotions and challenges for its users. Around all major sporting events and certain holidays, they offer some sort of promotion for users to add to their bankroll. They have added some risk-free bets with winnings up to 5k, existing user deposit match, promo funds, and discounted player props lines. Also, they will randomly do airdrops. Airdrops are just simply PrizePicks putting money into your account in promo funds. Promo funds are not able to be withdrawn but can be used for lineups. Every week PrizePicks does Taco Tuesday. Taco Tuesday is where they put up a series of discounted prop lines based on users’ votes. There is a max bet on these discounted lines, but offers great odds and can be a nice bankroll builder.
