Week 7 Fantasy Football QB Rankings: Start of the Week
Baker Mayfield vs. Baltimore Ravens
Mayfield is currently the QB2 in fantasy football scoring. You read that correctly – the QB2. Impressively, he is only 5.3 points behind QB1 Lamar Jackson. I am pretty confident that zero fantasy analysts (including myself) had Mayfield as their QB2 after Week 6 of the fantasy football season. Notably, he’s finished within the top seven of QB scoring in five of his six starts this year.
This game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Baltimore Ravens projects to be a high-scoring Monday night affair. DraftKings has the over/under currently set at 48.5. The Ravens rush defense is formidable and the best in the league. They have only allowed 59 rushing yards per game, which is the lowest in the league. On the other hand, it’s their pass defense where you can attack and exploit the Ravens. They allow the second most passing yards per game at 275.7 to go along with 11 receiving touchdowns.
Perhaps, it’s time to jump on the Mayfield bandwagon. It was a long time ago when the Cleveland Browns essentially paid Mayfield to disappear. Personally, I know I have come around. In one league, I have started Mayfield over Patrick Mahomes three out of the last four weeks. To be honest, it was not a hard decision to make at all, and it shouldn’t be one for you either. Start Mayfield.
