Revenge Games: Week 4
After a long wait for the 2021 NFL season to get here, we are in full swing and headed into Week 4. Here at The FF Faceoff, one of the biggest tools that we feature is our Revenge Game Tracker. We cover all of the matchups where players are facing their former teams, whether they be offensive or defensive players. Fantasy-relevant or not, we’ve got you covered. We’ll be taking a look at some of the key matchups to look forward to and just maybe get a slight edge on your fantasy opponents by starting that one player that happens to be facing his former team. No, this isn’t a start or sit article, rather just a breakdown of players to take an extra look at, or teams to take an extra look at when placing your bets this week. Here are this week’s revenge games to follow in Revenge Games: Week 4.
2021 Revenge Game Tracker
Atlanta Falcons @ Washington Football Team
Baltimore Ravens @ Denver Broncos
Buffalo Bills vs Houston Texans
Carolina Panthers @ Dallas Cowboys
Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions
Cleveland Browns @ Minnesota Vikings
Kevin Stefanski
Denver Broncos vs Baltimore Ravens
Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears
Nicholas Williams
Houston Texans @ Buffalo Bills
This would’ve been a matchup worth looking at given Tyrod Taylor was just the starting quarterback for the Texans in Week 2. Unfortunately, Taylor has a hamstring strain and is not likely to play in this one.
Indianapolis Colts @ Miami Dolphins
Julien Davenport
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Cincinnati Bengals
The first name that’s worth looking at this week for a revenge game is Marvin Jones as he returns to Cincinnati. He spent the first four seasons of his 10-year career with the Bengals. Jones has caught 17 of 28 targets so far this year for 194 yards and two touchdowns. He’s WR20 on the year and averaging 16.1 PPR points per game. If you’ve been hesitant to start Jones this year, as of now he should be a solid WR3 or Flex option and I’d consider getting him in your lineups this week.
Los Angeles Rams vs Arizona Cardinals
Shelton Coleman
Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers
Miami Dolphins vs Indianapolis Colts
Tua Tagovailoa has recently been placed on IR with his injured ribs and that means Jacoby Brissett will start again this week against the Colts. Brissett went 32 of 49 last week as the starter in Las Vegas with just one touchdown that came as he ran it in. He’s serviceable at best and gets to take on his former team this week as the Colts head to Miami. Brissett is only a viable option in Superflex or 2QB leagues.
New York Jets vs Tennessee Titans
One interesting revenge game matchup to look at this week is Corey Davis taking on his former team as the Titans go on the road to take on the Jets. He started off the season great with two touchdowns in Week 1, but he hasn’t cracked double digits in PPR formats since then. He did have a season-high 10 targets last week against the Broncos, but the way that Zach Wilson and this Jets offense has been playing, I’d only start Davis as a WR3 boom or bust option.
Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers
DJ Reed
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New England Patriots
Antonio Brown
The biggest revenge game of the year is happening this week. Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski head back to New England to face off with Bill Belichick and the Patriots. This is going to be a very fun game to watch and both Brady and Antonio Brown should be in your lineups. Fire up both of them this week. Rob Gronkowski on the other hand was banged up last week and it recently was reported that he’ll miss this one with multiple rib fractures and a punctured lung. You know Gronkowski would be out there if he could and he’ll be missed this week.
