Revenge Games: Week 7

0

We are in full swing and headed into Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season. Here at The FF Faceoff, one of the biggest tools that we feature is our Revenge Game Tracker. We cover all of the matchups where players are facing their former teams, whether they be offensive or defensive players. Fantasy-relevant or not, we’ve got you covered. We’ll be taking a look at some of the key matchups to look forward to and just maybe get a slight edge on your fantasy opponents by starting that one player that happens to be facing his former team. No, this isn’t a start or sit article, rather just a breakdown of players to take an extra look at, or teams to take an extra look at when placing your bets this week. Here are this week’s revenge games to follow in Revenge Games: Week 7.

Cardinals vs Texans

JJ Watt

DeAndre Hopkins

The Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans are just about polar opposites right now in every aspect. Kyler Murray is balling out and currently is towards the top in just about every category for quarterbacks. Not to mention for fantasy football purposes. The Cardinals are undefeated and in 1st in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL while the Texans are 1-5, fighting with the Jaguars not to be the worst team in the AFC South. DeAndre Hopkins has been a bonafide stud for fantasy purposes for years, and while he might be having a down season from what he usually does, he’s still the WR13 in PPR and a must-start no matter the matchup. One of the few revenge games of the week will be Hopkins looking down and laughing at his former team in Week 7.

Panthers @ Giants

Sean Chandler

Chase Blackburn

Browns vs Broncos

Andy Janovich

Lions @ Rams

Jared Goff

Michael Brockers

Jared Goff has struggled as of late and the Lions are sitting at an atrocious 0-6. The only team in the NFL without a win. I’d hold off from starting Goff unless you’re in a 2QB or Superflex league and have other quarterbacks on byes. No chance he turns it around especially returning to LA. The Rams should stomp Goff and the Lions, meanwhile the Rams fans should just be loving it.

Packers vs Football Team

Preston Smith

Texans @ Cardinals

David Johnson

One of the more low-key revenge games is David Johnson heading back to Arizona. I wouldn’t recommend starting him unless he’s a deeper league Flex option and you don’t have another choice. Johnson is the current RB52 in PPR and the most carries he’s seen all year is six. Yikes.

Colts @ 49ers

DeForest Buckner

Rams vs Lions

Matthew Stafford

A’Shawn Robinson

Fire up Matthew Stafford this week as he takes on his former team at home in LA. You can make a case for Stafford being a top-three or top-five quarterback on this week’s slate of games. Stafford is a QB1 on the season in just about any format you play in and this matchup against the Lions is fantastic. Throw in the fact that it’s his former team and you might see Stafford throw for 300+ yards and toss two or three touchdowns in a massive blowout win.
