Scotty Miller Signs With The Falcons – Fantasy Outlook
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Atlanta Falcons are signing wide receiver Scotty Miller to a one-year deal. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Football Outlook: The veteran receiver spent his first four NFL seasons in Tampa Bay, buried on the depth chart. During that time, he caught 74 passes on 128 targets for 924 yards and four touchdowns. Due to playing with players like Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, and Rob Gronkowski, you can’t expect a ton of production. Now, he gets a fresh start with the division-rival Falcons.
Recently, the Falcons also brought in veteran wide receiver Mack Hollins, who he’ll compete for targets with behind the likes of Drake London and Kyle Pitts. Pitts is still recovering from a knee injury that sidelined him during the last weeks of the 2022 season but should bounce back in 2023. Miller will have an opportunity on this offense, but keep your expectations low.
In your dynasty or best ball leagues, Miller might be worth stashing or grabbing in the last rounds of your deeper drafts. Keep in mind, Miller is a former track star and does have 4.39 speed that this Atlanta offense could make some splash plays with. Overall, don’t expect much out of Miller as far as fantasy football production goes, but he’s worth stashing depending on your league format.
