Scouting the Nation – Week 2 College Football Risers
Anto Saka DE Northwestern
A fantastic weekday performance versus Duke, Anto Saka has been pretty much unstoppable through the first two weeks of the season. I loved his 2023 tape, and he’s taken his game to another level with increased playing time this season. Saka is a twitched-up speed rusher who possesses high-end bend to corner.
Furthermore, Saka can threaten the tackle’s outside shoulder and then accelerate to the quarterback. Notably, he is incredibly effective on stunts, where that speed is on full display.
A game-changer for Northwestern, Saka is already one of the best prospects in the Big Ten. Ultimately, his upside and traits will make him a highly coveted prospect whenever he declares.
Tyler Warren TE Penn State
The top target on the Nittany Lions roster, Tyler Warren set the record for the most yards in a single game for a tight end in Penn State history against Bowling Green. For a program that has produced tights ends year in and year out, that is quite the accomplishment.
Warren is a ready-made NFL blocker with impressive play strength and technique to displace defenders and sustain blocks. As a pass catcher, Warren has reliable hands, very good speed, and a knack for getting open. Warren is a complete player who should hear his name called early in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Domonique Orange DT Iowa State
In a thriller against Iowa, Domonique Orange really stood out. He is a versatile defender who can play as a nose tackle and defensive end in Iowa State’s three down front. Orange is quick off the ball for a bigger defensive lineman and flashes violent hands.
Notably, Orange is able to hold the point in the run game and disengages from blockers well. Personally, I loved Orange’s film from 2023, and it looks like he’s building off it this season. All in all, Orange is one of the best defensive tackles in the country and will be a top prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft.
