Scouting the Nation – Week 7 College Football Risers
Harold Fannin Jr. TE Bowling Green
A Heisman candidate, Harold Fannin Jr. has already amassed over 800 yards and five touchdowns on the season. He’s a mismatch nightmare for opposing defenses. Recently, he was unstoppable against two of the best defenses in the country, Penn State and Texas A&M.
Furthermore, Fannin Jr. is an easy separator who can beat linebackers with his high-end speed. He’s an advanced route runner for a tight end, with the ability to sink his hips and change direction quickly. Impressively, Fannin Jr. doesn’t drop passes and is effective after the catch, too. Bowling Green lines him up everywhere, and he is the clear focal point of their offense.
In a class with very few top-end targets, Fannin Jr. has emerged as one of the best pass catchers in the country. He will be an excellent weapon for whoever drafts him at the next level. Don’t be surprised if he rises up draft boards as the 2025 NFL Draft draws near.
Connor Lew C Auburn
One of the best offensive linemen in the country, Connor Lew has the makings to be the first center selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. He already has a lot of starting experience and checks a lot of boxes teams look for in a center prospect. Lew plays with excellent pad level and identifies blitzers quickly.
Furthermore, Lew’s body control is very good on film. This allows him to redirect his body to stay in front of rushers. He is fast and athletic, which is on full display when asked to climb to the second level. Additionally, Lew keeps his hands in tight as a run blocker, something a lot of younger offensive linemen struggle with. When the time comes, he will be a quality starter for a long time in the NFL.
