NFL Player Prop Bets Divisional Round: SNF Ravens vs. Bills

0

Welcome back to Fanelli’s Fave Five Prop Bets. With four games on the slate this weekend, we have arguably the best matchup wrapping the slate up on Sunday Night Football. In this matchup, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will be hosting Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens at 6:30 PM, EST. Today, I’ll be breaking down my top NFL player prop bets for this Divisional Round SNF matchup.

NFL Player Prop Bets Divisional Round: SNF Ravens vs. Bills

Our final Division Round playoff game is on Sunday night in an exciting matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills. Notably, this game includes the two frontrunners for the NFL MVP Award. While fans will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, sports bettors only care about making money. However, which prop bets will lead to cash in their pockets? Here are my five favorite prop bets for Sunday night’s game.

All props are from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Josh Allen Under 249.5 Passing Yards (-140)

While his MVP odds have drastically shifted over the past week or so, Allen has been outstanding this season despite a lack of big-name wide receivers. However, the superstar quarterback averaged only 219.5 passing yards per game during the regular season, his lowest mark since his second year in the NFL (2019). Last week, the veteran had 272 passing yards in the win over the Denver Broncos, his sixth-highest total this season.

Unfortunately, Allen had some awful passing performances during the regular season, including against the Ravens in Week 4. The superstar quarterback had 235 or fewer passing yards in 56.3% of the regular season games, including under 185 in 37.5% of the contests, excluding the worthless Week 18 matchup. Meanwhile, Baltimore surrendered 179.8 passing yards per game to quarterbacks over the final five regular-season contests, allowing 217 or less in every outing.

Derrick Henry Over 95.5 Rushing Yards (-120)

I don’t understand why the over/under on Henry’s rushing total isn’t triple digits. The superstar running back finished second in the NFL with 1,921 rushing yards during the regular season, the second-highest total of his career. More importantly, the veteran rusher averaged 113 rushing yards per game during the regular season, totaling 106 or more in 53.9% of the contest, including a season-high 199 in the Week 4 matchup against the Bills.

The future Hall of Famer had 186 rushing yards and a 7.2 yards per attempt average in the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. Henry has had over 130 rushing yards in four consecutive games and nearly half of the contests during the regular season. Don’t be surprised if the superstar running back has over 200 rushing yards in this game, especially with Buffalo expected to get hit with snow on Sunday.

James Cook Under 59.5 Rushing Yards (-135)

Baltimore’s run defense has been one of the top units in the NFL this year, holding running backs to 61.6 rushing yards per game. Last week, they held the Pittsburgh Steelers backfield to eight rushing attempts for 23 yards. Furthermore, only two running backs had more than 55 rushing yards against the Ravens during the regular season. Najee Harris had 63 in Week 11, while Saquon Barkley had 107 in Week 13.

More importantly, Cook had only 39 rushing yards in Week 4 against Baltimore. Yet, that wasn’t his worst rushing total this year. The former Georgia star averaged 63.1 rushing yards per game during the regular season, totaling 53 or fewer in half of the regular season contests, including back-to-back outings to end the regular season. Unfortunately, bettors should expect Cook to struggle in Sunday night’s rematch against the Ravens’ elite run defense.

Justice Hill Over 2.5 Receptions (-150)

While Derrick Henry is the focal point of the offense and the superstar out of the backfield, Hill has had a significant role, especially in the passing game. The veteran missed the final two games of the regular season after leaving the Week 16 contest with a concussion after playing only seven snaps. However, he averaged three receptions per game before the Week 16 matchup, totaling three or more in nearly half of the contests.

Last week, the veteran running back had four receptions in the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on a team-high four targets. Meanwhile, Buffalo has had no answers for pass-catching running backs this year. They surrendered the most receiving yards per game (44.1) and the second-most receptions per contest (5.4) to running backs during the regular season. Hill set season-highs in receptions (six) and receiving yards (78) against the Bills earlier this year.

Khalil Shakir Over 44.5 Receiving Yards (-130)

Unfortunately, the weather for Sunday night’s game isn’t ideal for throwing the ball. Therefore, Shakir is the only wide receiver I would bet the over on his prop bets. The third-year pro has been Allen’s most reliable weapon in the passing game, leading the Bills in receptions (76), targets (100), and receiving yards (821) during the regular season. He averaged 55.1 receiving yards per game this year, including 61 last week.

Furthermore, Shakir ran 73.1% of his routes from the slot during the regular season. Impressively, this led the entire team. Meanwhile, the Ravens surrendered the fourth-most receiving yards to wide receivers during the regular season, allowing 116.3 per game. More importantly, they gave up 76.9 receiving yards per game to slot receivers, including 87 to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ core last week. Finally, Baltimore has surrendered 50 or more receiving yards to slot receivers in 77.8% of their games. Shakir’s receiving yards number wraps up our top NFL player prop bets for this highly anticipated Divisional Round matchup on SNF.
