NFL Player Prop Bets NFC Championship: Commanders vs. Eagles

0

Welcome back to Fanelli’s Fave Five Prop BetsWith just two games this weekend, the 2024-2025 NFL season is nearly in the books. For the NFC Championship, we have Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles hosting rookie QB Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. This game kicks off on Sunday at 3:00 PM, EST.  Today, I’ll be breaking down my top NFL player prop bets for this matchup. Let’s get right into the picks.

NFL Player Prop Bets – NFC Championship: Commanders vs. Eagles

The 2024 NFL regular season is in the books. Hopefully, bettors came away with more money in their pockets than they started the year with. However, the grind never stops. So, let’s not waste any time and get down to business.

We have an NFC East-themed matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles for the right to play in Super Bowl LIX. While fans will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, sports bettors only care about making money. However, which prop bets will lead to cash in their pockets? Here are my five favorite NFL player prop bets for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

All props are from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jalen Hurts Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-165)

Despite being on the injury report this week with a knee injury, Hurts is ready to go for Sunday’s NFC Championship matchup against the Commanders. The star quarterback is one of the league’s best dual-threat weapons. However, his passing production took a hit in 2024, averaging only 1.2 passing touchdowns per game. Hurts had 18 passing touchdowns during the regular season, his lowest total since his first year as a starter.

Furthermore, he failed to throw three or more touchdowns in a game this year. Hurts had one or fewer passing scores in 60% of the regular season games, including four of the final six contests. More importantly, he had zero passing touchdowns in both regular season matchups against Washington. Meanwhile, the Commanders held quarterbacks to 1.4 passing touchdowns per game this year, including the playoffs, surrendering only one to Jared Goff in last week’s win.

Jayden Daniels Over 223.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Daniels is the betting favorite to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The former LSU star averaged 209.9 passing yards per game during the regular season. However, his average jumps up to 220.6 passing yards per game without the Week 18 matchup, where he played only the first half in a meaningless game. More importantly, Daniels has been unbelievable during the playoffs after finishing the regular season playing well.

Last week, the rookie superstar had 299 passing yards in the Divisional Round win, the second-high total of his career. Daniels had 268 passing yards the week before in the Wild Card Weekend victory. He has had at least 226 passing yards in five consecutive games outside the meaningless Week 18 matchup. More importantly, Daniels was outstanding in the Week 16 win over the Eagles, totaling 258 passing yards and five touchdowns.

Saquon Barkley Over 124.5 Rushing Yards (-130)

My favorite NFL player prop bet this week is Barkley over his rushing total. The superstar running back has the highest over/under rushing prop total in DraftKings history. Yet, he could easily double the over/under total on Sunday. Barkley has been an unstoppable force this year, even when meeting an unmovable object. He led the NFL with 2,005 rushing yards in 16 games during the regular season, averaging a career-high 125.3 per contest.

Unfortunately, the superstar missed out on breaking Eric Dickerson’s rushing record with the Eagles resting him in a meaningless Week 18 game. Barkley had at least 124 rushing yards in half of the games this year, including the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Commanders surrendered the fourth-most rushing yards per game to running backs during the regular season (113.8). More importantly, Barkley had at least 146 rushing yards in both regular season matchups against Washington.

Dyami Brown Over 39.5 Receiving Yards (-130)

While Terry McLaurin has had an exceptional year with Jayden Daniels under center, the Commanders have had a rotating door of No. 2 options in the passing game. Zach Ertz has been that guy for most of the regular season. However, Brown has stepped up lately. The former North Carolina star averaged only 19.3 receiving yards per game during the regular season. Yet, the veteran wide receiver has been outstanding the past few weeks.

After totaling 57 or fewer receiving yards in every regular season game, Brown has had 89 or more in both playoff games. More importantly, the former North Carolina star had 56 receiving yards in the Week 16 matchup against the Eagles. Meanwhile, Philadelphia gave up 97 receiving yards to Puka Nacua and 74 to Demarcus Robinson last week. More aggressive bettors should bet Brown on the alternative line up to 70 receiving yards at +295.

Dallas Goedert Over 40.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Philadelphia’s passing attack has struggled during the playoffs, with Jalen Hurts averaging only 129.5 yards per game. Thankfully, Saquon Barkley has led the way in the two postseason wins. Meanwhile, Goedert has been the lone bright spot for the passing offense, with A.J. Brown in a slump. The veteran tight end has averaged 51.5 receiving yards per game during the playoffs, totaling at least four receptions and 47 yards in both outings.

More importantly, Goedert has played well this year despite missing seven games and having multiple injuries. The veteran tight end averaged 55.1 receiving yards per game in the nine regular season contests where he played at least 19% of the snaps. Goedert missed the Week 16 loss to the Commanders with an injury. However, he was productive in the Week 11 win over the division rivals, catching all five targets for 61 receiving yards.
