NFL Player Prop Bets Week 15: MNF Bears vs. Vikings

Week 15 of the 2024 NFL regular season is underway. Hopefully, bettors came away with more money in their pockets than they started last week with. However, the grind never stops. So, let’s not waste any time and get down to business.

We have a massive NFC North matchup between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings on Monday night. While fans will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, sports bettors only care about making money. However, which prop bets will lead to cash in their pockets? Here are my five favorite prop bets for Monday’s game.

All props are from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Sam Darnold Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-145)

While Darnold won’t win the NFL MVP award, the veteran quarterback belongs in the conversation. He has 28 passing touchdowns this season, the third-most in the league. The former USC star has had at least two passing touchdowns in 76.9% of the games, hitting that total in all but three contests. More importantly, Darnold has been on fire lately, averaging 2.8 passing touchdowns per game over the past month, totaling two or more in every outing.

Last week, the veteran had a career-high five passing touchdowns in the win over the Atlanta Falcons. More importantly, Darnold had two passing touchdowns against the Bears in the Week 12 victory. Meanwhile, Chicago had an elite pass defense to start the year, surrendering 0.7 passing touchdowns per game to quarterbacks over the first 11 weeks. However, they have given up two passing touchdowns to quarterbacks in three consecutive games.

Caleb Williams Over 218.5 Passing Yards (-115)

The rookie quarterback has had a disappointing season, averaging 211.2 passing yards per game. However, Williams has played well since Thomas Brown took over calling plays for the Bears, completing 65.7% of his pass attempts for 240.3 yards per game. While he had only 134 passing yards last week against the San Francisco 49ers, Williams had 230 or more yards in the other three games with Brown calling the plays, averaging 275.7 per contest.

More importantly, the former USC star completed 68.1% of his pass attempts for 340 yards against the Vikings in the Week 12 matchup, his second-highest yardage performance this year. Meanwhile, Minnesota has surrendered the third-most passing yards to quarterbacks, giving up 270.8 per game. They have given up 309.8 passing yards per game to quarterbacks over the past month, allowing 260 or more in every contest, including at least 340 twice.

Jordan Addison Over 51.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Addison has had an underrated season. The second-year wide receiver has averaged 64.4 receiving yards per game, totaling 54 or more in 54.6% of the contests. Furthermore, he has hit that total in four consecutive games. More importantly, Addison has been on fire lately. The former USC wide receiver has averaged 116.3 receiving yards per game over the past three weeks, totaling 133 or more twice, including last week against the Atlanta Falcons.

When these two NFC North teams faced off in Week 12, Addison was unstoppable. The second-year pro had eight receptions for 162 receiving yards against the Bears, with the defense doing everything to stop Justin Jefferson, setting season highs in both categories. More importantly, Chicago’s pass defense has struggled lately. They have given up at least 90 receiving yards to five players over the past four weeks, including 150 or more to three pass catchers.

DJ Moore Over 57.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Last week, Moore had six receptions on eight targets for 49 receiving yards against the San Francisco 49ers. However, bettors should expect the star wide receiver to bounce back in Week 15. He has been outstanding, with Thomas Brown calling the plays. Moore has averaged 78.5 receiving yards per game over the past four weeks, totaling at least 62 in all but one contest, including 96 or more in back-to-back outings before last week’s matchup.

Meanwhile, Minnesota’s pass defense has severely struggled to slow down opposing wide receivers. They have given up the most yards per game to wide receivers this season (192.4), allowing 216 or more in nearly half of their matchups, including three of the past four contests. Last week, the Vikings surrendered 70 or more receiving yards to three Atlanta Falcon wide receivers, giving up 70 to Drake London, 142 to Darnell Mooney, and 98 to Ray-Ray McCloud III.

T.J. Hockenson Over 40.5 Receiving yards (-110)

While he missed the first half of the year recovering from a significant knee injury, Hockenson has played well since making his season debut in Week 9. The veteran tight end has averaged 4.5 receptions on six targets for 49.8 receiving yards per game in six contests, totaling 72 or more twice. Furthermore, Hockenson has averaged 62.3 receiving yards per game over his past three contests, recording 45 or more twice, including last week.

The star tight end had his best performance of the year in the Week 12 matchup against the Bears, totaling seven receptions on nine targets for 114 receiving yards, setting season highs in every category. More importantly, Chicago has surrendered 62.6 receiving yards per game to tight ends, the sixth-most in the NFL. They have given up 121 or more receiving yards to tight ends in two of their past three games.
