NFL Player Prop Bets Week 16: MNF Saints vs. Packers

Week 16 of the 2024 NFL regular season is underway. Hopefully, bettors came away with more money in their pockets than they started last week with. However, the grind never stops. So, let’s not waste any time and get down to business.

We have a matchup on Monday night between the Saints and the Packers. While fans will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, sports bettors only care about making money. However, which prop bets will lead to cash in their pockets? Here are my five favorite prop bets for Monday’s game.

All props are from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jordan Love Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-145)

The 2024 season has been an up-and-down one for Love. He has missed time with injuries while playing through other games injured. The star quarterback has averaged 1.9 passing touchdowns per game this year. Notably, he has had two or more passing touchdowns in 66.7% of the contests. Love has had two or more passing touchdowns in three of the past four games, including last week in the win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Furthermore, the former Utah State star has had twice as many games with at least two passing touchdowns (eight) than contests with one or fewer (four) this season. Meanwhile, the Saints have surrendered only 14 passing touchdowns to quarterbacks, the third-fewest in the NFL. However, they have given up 13 passing touchdowns over their past nine games. New Orleans has allowed two passing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks in three of their past four contests.

Josh Jacobs Over 89. Rushing Yards (-125)

Jacobs has had an excellent first year in Green Bay after an up-and-down career with the Las Vegas Raiders. The star running back has averaged 81.9 rushing yards per game this season. He has had 94 or more rushing yards in 35.7% of the games, including two of the past four contests. Last week, Jacobs had a strong performance in the win over a talented Seattle Seahawks run defense, totaling 94 rushing yards on 26 attempts.

Usually, the Saints have one of the league’s top run defenses every year. However, they have struggled to stop the run in 2024. New Orleans has allowed the ninth-most rushing yards to running backs entering Week 16, giving up 104.9 per game. Furthermore, the Saints have surrendered 102 rushing yards per game to running backs over their past five contests, allowing 146 or more twice. Don’t be surprised if Jacobs runs wild on Monday night.

Kendre Miller Over 49.5 Rushing Yards (-135)

Unfortunately, Miller has struggled to stay healthy in his brief NFL career. The former TCU star has played in only four contests this season. Yet, the second-year pro has been productive in limited action behind Alvin Kamara. He has averaged seven attempts for 32.5 rushing yards per game this year. However, Miller has had 32 or more rushing yards in all but one game, including back-to-back contests. More importantly, he is prime for a big performance.

New Orleans will likely be without Alvin Kamara for Monday night’s matchup because of a severe groin injury. Meanwhile, the Packers have surrendered 87.1 rushing yards per game to running backs this season, giving up 94 or more in over half of their contests. Furthermore, Green Bay has allowed opposing running backs to have 73 or more rushing yards in 78.6% of their games, including 11 of the past 11 outings.

Christian Watson Over 44.5 Receiving Yards (-125)

While he has struggled with drops and inconsistent play this year, Watson is one of Jordan Love’s top options. The former North Dakota State star has averaged 47.7 receiving yards per game this season despite having three games without a reception. He has had 50 or more receiving yards in nearly half of his games, including four of the past five contests. More importantly, Watson has been on fire since the Packers’ Week 10 bye.

The explosive playmaker has averaged 77.4 receiving yards per game over the past five weeks, totaling 56 or more in all but one contest. Furthermore, Watson has had over 100 receiving yards in two of those outings. Meanwhile, the Saints have allowed the fifth-most receiving yards to wide receivers, giving up 173.6 per game. New Orleans has surrendered 73 receiving yards to Terry McLaurin and 79 to Malik Nabers over the past two weeks.

Tucker Kraft Over 32.5 Receiving Yards (-105)

Kraft had little expectations entering the season. However, he has had a productive year. The former South Dakota State star has averaged 39.6 receiving yards per game this season, totaling 33 or more in 75% of the contests Jordan Love started. The second-year pro has had 33 or more receiving yards in eight of the past 11 games. Furthermore, he has become a critical part of Green Bay’s passing attack lately.

Despite averaging only 4.7 targets per game over the past three weeks, Kraft has averaged 51 receiving yards per contest, totaling 34 or more every outing. More importantly, he has an appealing matchup on Monday night. The Saints have allowed the 13th-most receiving yards to tight ends, giving up 54 per game. They have surrendered 38 or more receiving yards to tight ends in 71.4% of their games, including seven of the past eight contests.
