Welcome back to Fanelli’s Fave Five Prop Bets. Sunday’s slate wraps up for Week 17 on Sunday Night Football. We have a matchup on Sunday night between the Atlanta Falcons and the Washington Commanders. While fans will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, sports bettors only care about making money. However, which prop bets will lead to cash in their pockets? Here are my five favorite NFL player prop bets for this SNF matchup.

NFL Player Prop Bets Week 17: SNF Falcons vs. Commanders

In this matchup, we will get to see two talented rookie quarterbacks face off. Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders has been impressive all season long. meanwhile, Michael Penix Jr. of the Atlanta Falcons has just been given a chance to start over veteran Kirk Cousins. Needless to say, this should be a fun matchup to watch. Continue reading for my top NFL player prop bets for this Week 17 SNF matchup.

Jayden Daniels Over 48.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

While Daniels has been outstanding as a passer, the rookie is an elite runner. He has averaged 49.1 rushing yards per game this season, totaling 50 or more in nearly half of the contests. Daniels ranks 27th in the NFL with 737 rushing yards. Furthermore, he is second among quarterbacks in rushing yards behind Lamar Jackson and second in attempts entering Week 17 behind Jalen Hurts. More importantly, Daniels has been unstoppable on the ground lately.

The rookie quarterback has averaged 63.8 rushing yards per game over his past four contests, totaling 66 or more in all but one outing, including both matchups since the Commanders’ Week 14 bye. Last week, Daniels had his third game this year with over 80 rushing yards. Meanwhile, the Falcons haven’t faced many mobile quarterbacks. However, they gave up 85 rushing yards to Jalen Hurts and 57 to Justin Fields earlier this season.

Michael Penix Jr. Under 207.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Penix has played in three games this year, totaling 240 passing yards. Last week, he made his first career start, throwing for 202 yards on 27 attempts against the New York Giants. While the rookie played well in his NFL debut, Penix had only a 5.8 aDOT, the sixth-lowest among the 34 quarterbacks to throw a pass in Week 16. Unfortunately, bettors should expect the rookie quarterback to struggle on Sunday night.

Washington has held quarterbacks to the fourth-fewest passing yards this season, surrendering 200.3 per game. They struggled earlier this year, giving up over 285 passing yards to quarterbacks in three of their first six games. However, the Commanders have shut down quarterbacks lately. They have held opposing passers to 178.6 passing yards per game over the past 10 weeks, giving up 195 or fewer in 66.7% of the matchups, including back-to-back contests.

Brian Robinson Jr. Under 66.5 Rushing Yards (-120)

Many had high hopes for Robinson earlier this season. The former Alabama star averaged 76.8 rushing yards per game over the first month, totaling 101 or more twice. Unfortunately, he has struggled since the hot start. Robinson has averaged 52.8 rushing yards per game over the past 12 weeks, totaling 65 or fewer in 75% of the contests. Furthermore, he has had 24 or fewer rushing yards in two of his past four games.

Meanwhile, the Falcons have one of the top run defenses in the league. They have held running backs to the eighth-fewest rushing yards this year, giving up 82.3 per game. Atlanta has surrendered 65 or fewer rushing yards to running backs in four of their past six contests. Furthermore, running backs have averaged 59.3 rushing yards per game against the Falcons since their Week 12 bye, totaling more than 52 only once.

Bijan Robinson Over 82.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

While Robinson got off to a slow start this season, the former Texas star has been outstanding. He has the fifth-most rushing yards in the NFL, averaging 79.7 per game. However, the second-year pro has been on fire lately, averaging 92.9 rushing yards per game over the past eight weeks, totaling 86 or more in all but one contest. Furthermore, Robinson has been a workhorse running back since Atlanta’s Week 12 bye.

The superstar has averaged 23 rushing attempts for 103.3 yards per game over the past month, totaling at least 22 attempts and 92 yards in every contest, including last week with Michael Penix Jr. starting. Meanwhile, the Commanders have struggled to stop opposing running backs, giving up 113.5 rushing yards per game, the fifth-most in the league. They’ve surrendered 92 or more rushing yards to running backs in six of their past eight games, including last week.

Terry McLaurin Over 63.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

McLaurin has averaged 68.8 receiving yards per game this season, totaling 70 or more in 53.3% of the contests, including three of the past four outings. The star wide receiver has been outstanding lately except when facing the Philadelphia Eagles, averaging 86.1 yards per game over his past seven contests against anyone but the division leaders. Furthermore, he has had 100 or more receiving yards in a third of the games this year.

More importantly, the Falcons have given up the ninth-most receiving yards to wide receivers, allowing 155.2 per game. They’ve surrendered 260 or more yards to wide receivers in two of their past five contests. Furthermore, Atlanta has allowed opposing No. 1 wide receivers to average 93.8 receiving yards per game over the past seven weeks, giving up 68 or more in all but one contest, including over 105 in half of their matchups. McLaurin’s yardage NFL player prop bet wraps up this SNF edition.
