NFL Player Props Week 11: Commanders vs. Eagles

Thursday night, we have a matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles. While fans will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, sports bettors only care about making money. However, which prop bets will lead to cash in their pockets? Here are my five favorite NFL player props for Thursday’s game. All NFL Player Props are from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jalen Hurts to Score an Anytime Touchdown (-110)

Last year, Hurts had a career-high 15 rushing touchdowns in 17 games, finishing second in the NFL and first among quarterbacks. Many were concerned that his production would decline with the addition of Saquon Barkley. However, the superstar quarterback’s 10 rushing touchdowns are the second-most in the league, putting him on pace to total 19 this season. Hurts has twice as many rushing touchdowns as the next closest quarterback (Justin Fields, with five).

Furthermore, the superstar quarterback has at least one rushing touchdown in 66.7% of the games, including four consecutive contests. He has been unstoppable lately, totaling eight rushing touchdowns over the past four weeks, totaling two or more scores in all but one game. More importantly, Hurts is the Eagles’ goal-line running back. In total, he’s had 10 of the team’s 12 rushes from inside the two-yard line. More importantly, scoring seven touchdowns on those attempts.

Jayden Daniels Under 226.5 Passing Yards (-115)

While Daniels is the betting favorite to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, the former LSU star has cooled off after his hot start. The rookie has averaged 214.7 passing yards per game. However, Daniels has averaged 237.9 yards per game in the nine contests he didn’t leave early after two pass attempts. More importantly, the former LSU star hasn’t hit the over on this total in half of the games, including back-to-back weeks.

Unfortunately for Daniels, the Eagles’ pass defense has been significantly better since the bye week after struggling to start the season. They surrendered 247.5 passing yards per game over the first four weeks. By comparison, Philadelphia has held quarterbacks to 148.4 passing yards per game over the past five weeks, surrendering 169 or fewer in all but one contest. The Eagles’ cornerback unit has played well over the past five weeks, with Cooper DeJean earning PFF’s second-highest coverage grade.

Saquon Barkley Over 89.5 Rushing Yards (-135)

Barkley has been outstanding in his first year with Philadelphia. He has 991 rushing yards, the second-most in the NFL, averaging 110.1 per game. The superstar running back has had 95 or more rushing yards in 66.7% of the games, including three of the past four contests. Furthermore, Barkley has more games with over 108 rushing yards (five) than under 90 (three) this season. More importantly, he has an outstanding matchup against the division rivals.

The Commanders’ defense has played better this year than in 2023. However, they’ve still struggled to stop the run. Washington has surrendered the fifth-most rushing yards to running backs, giving up 116.8 per game. They have allowed running backs to total 93 or more rushing yards in all but one game. Including three consecutive contests. Furthermore, running backs have had over 120 rushing yards against the Commanders in five of the past eight games.

Terry McLaurin Under 62.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Washington lacks weapons in the passing game besides McLaurin. The star wide receiver is having one of the best years of his career. After averaging 58.9 receiving yards per game last season, the former Ohio State star has averaged 71.7 per contest this year. Last week, McLaurin had 113 receiving yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers, his third contest with over 100 yards in 2024. Unfortunately, the veteran wide receiver has been inconsistent.

Despite being the only notable weapon on offense, McLaurin has had fewer than 54 receiving yards in half of the games this season. Including a 19-yard performance two weeks ago against the New York Giants. Meanwhile, the Eagles have shut down No. 1 wide receivers since their bye week, surrendering 36 receiving yards per game. Impressively, they held Ja’Marr Chase (54), Malik Nabers (41), and CeeDee Lamb (21) to 116 combined receiving yards over the past four weeks.

A.J. Brown Over 79.5 Receiving Yards (-135)

Unfortunately, Brown has missed 3.5 games this year because of hamstring and knee injuries. Yet, he still ranks inside the top 20 in receiving yards (553). The superstar wide receiver has averaged 92.2 receiving yards per game this season, the fourth-highest average in the NFL. More importantly, Brown has averaged 103.4 receiving yards per game in the five contests that he didn’t leave early with an injury, totaling 84 or more in every matchup.

Last year, the superstar wide receiver averaged 152.5 receiving yards per game against the division rivals. Notably, totaling 130 or more in both contests. Meanwhile, the Commanders’ secondary has played significantly better this season. However, they have had issues with No. 1 wide receivers. Washington has surrendered 75.9 receiving yards per game to opposing top receivers, giving up 83 or more in half of their matchups. Last week, they gave up 91 receiving yards to George Pickens on five receptions.
