Additionally, there are some players you should be cautious about as you prepare for your draft and manage your roster this season.

ADP Stock Up/Stock Down – Fantasy Football 2024

As we approach the end of June and early July, there isn’t much notable happening around the NFL. Most players have gone back to their hometowns to spend time with family or to their favorite city to train and get ready for training camp. For many casual fantasy football players, it’s their offseason as well. If you are here today reading this, you probably aren’t one of them. You are gaining a significant edge by staying tuned in all offseason long, but I’m sure you already know this as well. Many are not drafting redraft leagues yet. Best ball is where you want to go to scratch that itch. It’s important to know where people are valuing players currently in their drafts, even if we are a month out from draft season.

In today’s article, we will discuss the players whose stock is rising and falling in fantasy football. Our information is sourced from 4for4’s Underdog ADP rankings. The fantasy football landscape is ever-evolving, and player drafting patterns change accordingly. We will be focusing on the timeframe from June 3rd to June 19th. Let’s dive into the picks.

Braelon Allen – RB 57- ADP 183.1 (Riser)

Allen’s ADP is up from 211.2 to 183.1. The New York Jets running back appeared to be one of the biggest standouts during minicamp earlier this month. Allen was spotted catching a lot of passes out of the backfield, which caught the eye of many media members. Allen was not largely used in the passing game during his time at Wisconsin, hauling in just 49 passes his entire career there. The rookie is only 20 years old, so there is a chance he can refine this part of his game. Breece Hall was a workhorse coming off his ACL injury in 2023 and has no chance of losing his lead role. However, can Allen carve out a 3rd down role to provide some fantasy upside? In best ball leagues, maybe. In traditional redraft leagues, probably not unless an injury takes place.

Nick Chubb – RB 42 – ADP 137.1 (Faller)

Chubb could be the most pure football runner in the entire NFL. Last season, Chubb had two surgeries on his right knee after he sustained tears to his ACL, MCL, medial capsule, and meniscus. His current ADP is down from 117.5 to 137.1. This places him in the 11th round of drafts. Chubb addressed the media two weeks ago, stating, ” I like where I’m at… I’m where I need to be”. Chubb and the team have not given out any information on when he expects to return. The positive news is that he has been running since April. It appears this news may have fantasy managers more hesitant to draft him than they were before he addressed his status.

Jaleel McLaughlin – RB 50 – ADP 159.8 ( Riser)

McLaughlin has been a polarizing player this offseason. He showed many flashes in his rookie campaign that he could be a playmaker with the football in his hands. He was very explosive, with the football ranking 13th in breakaway run rate per PlayerProfiler. Stock is up for the Broncos running back as he moves from 166.9 to 159.8. Unfortunately, it’s not a significant move. However, it’s a player to keep your eye on in training camp. The Denver Broncos running back room appears to be undergoing a full competition this upcoming training camp.

Broncos beat reporter Ryan Edwards said,  “Jaleel McLaughlin has been the best running back so far during offseason practices.” This is not surprising, considering the players don’t have pads on, and these practices usually benefit the smaller, faster running backs. The other guys in this room love contact and will be able to make a better impression when the pads come on.

TJ Hockenson – TE 15 – ADP 145.5 (Faller)

Hockenson, like Chubb, is rehabbing his way back from a knee injury this offseason. What makes the timeline difficult here is that he tore his ACL and MCL in week 16. Chubb’s injury was not nearly this late into the season.

Furthermore, Hockenson was never seen as a huge YAC tight end. Any loss of explosiveness shouldn’t be a huge worry for fantasy managers. Our latest update from the team was that they are not putting a timeline on anything. Consequently, his ADP is down from 133.7 to 145.5, which is one full round. The team drafted JJ McCarthy in the first round, but there are still question marks on whether he will open the season as the starter.

If I were a betting man, I would say Sam Darnold would get the not for the first half of the season, minimum, before turning over the reigns to the rookie. Being the 15th tight end off the board feels criminal. However, this is a very deep draft for tight ends this season. All things considered, it’s not the least bit surprising.
