Sunday Night NFL FanDuel Picks: Football Team @ Cowboys

The Washington Football Team head to Jerry’s World to take on the Dallas Cowboys in this prime-time divisional matchup. The Cowboys are currently nine-point favorites in a game featuring a 46.5 point game total. For the Football team, Antonio Gibson and Curtis Samuel are listed as questionable, while J.D. McKissic has been placed on injured reserve. For the Cowboys, wide receivers Noah Brown and Simi Fehoko are listed OUT.

MVP Options

Dak Prescott ($16,000)

Although he has struggled mightily the last three weeks, Prescott will still be one of the best MVP options on the slate. He still has a full complement of elite pass catchers, and now plays a Washington defense that gives up the most FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks. This is a get-right spot for this Dallas offense as they are looking to be firing on all cylinders heading into the final push before the playoffs. Even without putting up big fantasy numbers, Prescott has attempted no fewer than 37 passes over the last five weeks. The opportunity and matchup are too great to ignore for Prescott.

CeeDee Lamb ($13,500)

Much like Prescott, Lamb has not had the greatest of months in terms of fantasy production. As mentioned above, this Washington defense gives up a lot of points through the air. They allow the third-most FanDuel points per game, second-most receptions, and the fourth-most receiving yards. This should set up for a big game from Lamb, so getting to him as your MVP could pay off big as a lower owned tournament play.

Flex Plays

Ezekiel Elliott ($13,000)

Ezekiel Elliot is still the Cowboys go to back, although Tony Pollard continues to have a significant role in the offense. Elliott has had 12 or more carries in three straight games as he continues to get healthier. Over his last five games, he has averaged over five targets per game, giving him significant work in the passing game. He is fifth in the NFL with 12 carries inside of the five-yard line, giving him the coveted touchdown opportunity needed to win tournaments.

Dalton Schultz ($9,500)

Dalton Schultz has been a wonderful find for this Cowboys offense and has been a great safety blanket for Prescott. He has garnered 31 targets over his last five games hauling in 23 of them. He was held to just one catch last time against Washington which could drive his ownership down, but given his involvement in the offense, he gives you good upside.

Ricky Seals-Jones ($7,500)

With Logan Thomas on IR for the rest of the season, Seals-Jones remains the team’s best option at tight end. He has received four or more targets in every game but one. While he isn’t the safest of plays, he provides some salary relief and has a path to good fantasy production. Seals-Jones has 12 targets inside the 20-yard line and five targets inside the 10-yard line, giving him good red zone involvement.

Jaret Patterson ($7,500)

With Gibson listed as questionable and J.D. McKissic on IR, Patterson could find himself as the lead back for the Football Team. Given his salary, Patterson’s volume alone would make him a great play. Through limited action, he has posted 3.8 YPC to go along with three catches. If Gibson is able to play, then I would not roster Patterson.
