Sunday Night NFL FanDuel Picks: Titans @ Rams

Welcome to our NFL single-game breakdown for Week 9 Sunday Night Football. This article will provide a quick analysis of players to consider on FanDuel for this matchup between the Titans and Rams. This Sunday’s Primetime showdown features the Los Angeles Rams playing host to the Tennessee Titans. The Rams are currently seven-point favorites with a 53 point game total. The Titans will be without Derrick Henry for the remainder of the season, while A.J. Brown has a questionable tag. After signing Adrian Peterson on November 4th, the Titans have activated him to their active roster. For the Rams, Matthew Stafford and Robert Woods are listed a questionable.

MVP Options

Matthew Stafford ($17,000)

Matthew Stafford has been the perfect fit for this high-powered Rams offense. He has averaged over 23 FanDuel points per game this season, throwing for multiple touchdowns in all but one game. Also, he has eclipsed the 300-yard mark in five of eight games. The Titans are giving up 21.2 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks and the seventh most touchdown passes. He has a great floor/ceiling combination and will be a staple in my lineups.

Cooper Kupp ($16,000)

Cooper Kupp has been on another level this year with the addition of Stafford and should be able to continue the great season in this contest. He has averaged over 10 targets per game and over 20 fantasy points per game. Kupp is leading the league in red zone targets, receptions, and touchdowns. Kupp has also been targeted on 35% of the Rams pass plays in the red zone. His red zone use and target share are going to put him in consideration for the MVP spot on any given slate.

Flex Plays

Van Jefferson Jr. ($8,000)

Van Jefferson has been a steady part of this Rams offense over the course of this season and has averaged 6.5 targets over his last two games. Additionally, he takes on a more downfield role with the release of DeSean Jackson. This Tennesse defense has given up the most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, so getting to the cheaper piece of the offense with a healthy role is a priority.

A.J. Brown ($12,000)

Without Derrick Henry in the mix, I believe Tennessee will rely more heavily on throwing the football. Over their last three games, he has averaged just under 10 targets and has caught two touchdowns. I know the Rams defense has been good this year, but Brown is too talented and too involved in this offense to be ignored in any matchup. I will gladly get to him in this spot and hope a good chunk of the field is pivoting off of him. Right now Brown is listed questionable and if he is ruled out I believe it will give a big boost to Jeremey McNichols ($10,000). McNichols will already get an expanded role without Henry but should receive additional targets without their top pass catcher.

Ryan Tannehill ($14,000), Darrell Henderson Jr. ($13,000), and Robert Woods ($11,500)

All three of these are good plays and I will have them in some lineups in this one. Tannehill looks to be in line to throw more this game, which should give him a better chance to hit a ceiling performance. Tannehill also adds valuable rushing upside evidenced by 165 yards this season along with three touchdowns. If you are going to fade Kupp, then you need to put Darrell Henderson or Robert Woods into your lineup. If Kupp is not optimal, it is more than likely because one or both of those two had a really good day.
