Super Bowl LIX Futures to Consider

Super-Bowl-LIX-Futures-to-Consider

After back-to-back Super Bowl victories, the Kansas City Chiefs are aiming to become the first team to win three in a row next season. Alas, there is no shortage of teams that look poised to stop that from happening. After all, the chances are good that someone other than Kansas City will win Super Bowl LIX, especially since the Chiefs aren’t even the betting favorites right now. Even though it’s still the offseason, let’s look at some Super Bowl LIX futures to consider.

49ers (+500)

Once more falling just shy of their goal, the 49ers are likely to be contenders again next season. The team’s core remains strong with Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, and Nick Bosa leading the charge. However, Kyle Shanahan and his team must focus on bolstering both the offensive line and defense to address critical needs even if they still look like the strongest team in the NFC on paper.

Chiefs (+650)

The Chiefs are striving to achieve a historic feat as the first NFL team to secure three consecutive Super Bowl victories. While addressing weaknesses in their wide receiver corps is a priority after a challenging regular season, there are looming questions on defense pertaining to free agents Chris Jones and L’Jarius Sneed. Yet, with the proven leadership of Andy Reid, the talent of Patrick Mahomes, and the reliability of Travis Kelce, the potential departure of key players may not be that big of a deal for Kansas City.

Ravens (+900)

While the Ravens dominated the 2023 regular season, their journey came to an end in the AFC Championship against the Chiefs. Facing the possibility of key departures like Odell Beckham, Patrick Queen, and Justin Madubuike, the team faces uncertainty on both offense and defense. However, as long as Lamar Jackson stays healthy, they have a chance. The only question is whether Jackson can finally get the Ravens over the last hurdle.

Lions (+1200)

In 2023, Detroit took significant strides forward, ultimately falling a little short in the NFC Championship. With a promising young roster and a favorable NFC North landscape, the team remains poised for success. Additionally, retaining coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn bolsters their continuity. Jared Goff’s ability to lead a playoff charge adds further confidence in the team’s potential. In fact, Detroit natives have probably already started to use the top Michigan betting sites to bet on the Lions finally winning a Super Bowl.

Bengals (+1500)

Cincinnati endured a challenging season marked by Joe Burrow’s injury. But if Burrow can come back healthy, the Bengals have the pieces to challenge Kansas City. Defensively, the Bengals need to make some improvements. However, Burrow and company have beaten the Chiefs in the playoffs before and are capable of getting back to the Super Bowl next season.

Eagles (+1700)

Despite a late-season stumble, the Eagles opted to keep head coach Nick Sirianni, although he made changes to the coaching staff. Philadelphia, known for its demanding fanbase, may not grant much patience despite the team’s recent Super Bowl appearance. Concerns have been voiced and questions have arisen with Jason Kelce retiring, not to mention potential changes in the backfield and an aging defensive line. But if the same Jalen Hurts that led Philly to the Super Bowl two years ago shows up in 2024, the Eagles can bounce back quickly.

Texans (+2500)

Houston’s future shines brightly, boasting both Rookies of the Year in C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson Jr. There’s also denying the impactful leadership of head coach DeMeco Ryans. Despite the inevitable departure of some supporting players, the team possesses the financial flexibility to make significant moves and continue its upward trajectory behind Ryans and Stroud, making them an ideal sleeper to win Super Bowl LIX.

Falcons (+5000)

The Falcons brought back Raheem Morris to lead the team, but their immediate focus shifts to securing a quarterback. With an offense that already boasts Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, not to mention one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, one could say Atlanta is a quarterback away. On the off-chance the Falcons find the right quarterback, there is value in them as a deep sleeper next season.
