Top 3 DST Streaming Options – Fantasy Football Week 2 (2024)

0

Week 2 of the 2024 fantasy football season is here. As we look ahead to a full slate of Sunday action, now is a good time to grab a streaming DST option off the waiver wire. Unless you’re rostering a top DST such as the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, or Dallas Cowboys, you might be looking for a better option to grab for the week. Here are our three top NFL DST streaming options for Week 2.

Top 3 DST Streaming Options – Week 2

Last week, our top DST recommendation was the New Orleans Saints. Ultimately, they were 30% rostered on Sleeper and finished as the number 4 DST for the week. This week, we have three more top streaming options that you might want to consider.

There are a few key factors that we’re considering when looking to stream a DST. Notably, you might want to consider home teams who have a low point total according to a top sportsbook such as DraftKings. Continue reading to check out our 3 top DST streaming options for this week.

Jacksonville Jaguars DST vs. Cleveland Browns

Sleeper Ownership Percentage: 18%

After a rough loss to Miami in Week 1, the Jaguars have their first home game of the season this week. They will be hosting Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns. This game has an over/under total of 41.5 points as of Saturday afternoon, according to DraftKings.

Recently, the Browns struggled against a tough Cowboys defense, giving up two interceptions and 6 sacks. Watson struggled and just didn’t look like his old self at all, throwing for 169 yards, one touchdown, and two picks. Ultimately, he finished as the QB17 on the week and looked rough in a blowout loss to Dallas.

Last week, the Jaguars defense totaled 3 sacks and did limit the Dolphins offense to 7 points until later in the game. Now, they get the Browns and a banged-up offensive line that Arik Armstead and Travon Walker should have a day with.

Seattle Seahawks DST @ New England Patriots

Sleeper Ownership Percentage: 55%

Coming off a 26-20 win over the Denver Broncos, the Seattle Seahawks will go on the road to face Jacoby Brissett and the New England this weekend. Notably, this matchup has one of the lowest point totals on the slate at 38 points.

Last week, this defense limited Javonte Williams and the Broncos rushing attack to just 99 yards. For New England, their biggest strength is their rushing attack, led by Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson. Last week, Brissett threw for just 121 yards, going 15/24 with zero touchdowns.

Seattle is going to score some points this week, which should force Brissett to throw the ball. Unfortunately, they don’t have many receiving options outside of tight end Hunter Henry, rookie Ja’Lynn Polk, DeMario Douglas, and KJ Osborn. Needless to say, this passing attack is rough. It might be the worst group of pass catchers in the NFL.

Los Angeles Chargers DST @ Carolina Panthers

Sleeper Ownership Percentage: 75%

First off, yes this ownership percentage has absolutely skyrocketed in the last few days. Notably, it’s up 67% from just a few days ago. Look for this number to keep going up as everyone is interested in attacking Bryce Young and the Panthers. However, if you need an option, there’s a chance they’re still available and should be fantastic this week.

With a 39-point total, this is one of the lowest on the slate. Jim Harbaugh has this defense looking right and the offense isn’t airing the ball out like they have in the past. Look for JK Dobbins to have a day and this defense to have their way with Young and this struggling Panthers offense.

In Week 1, the Chargers racked up 4 sacks and an interception. Additionally, they help the Raiders to under 300 yards. Last year, Young was sacked 3.8 times per game and just got sacked 4 times last week. He also threw two interceptions. Fire up this Chargers DST with confidence this week.

Honorable Mention: Indianapolis Colts DST @ Green Bay Packers

Sleeper Ownership Percentage: 25%

The Colts offense looked solid last week, holding CJ Stroud and the explosive Texans offense off fairly well. Yes, they lost the game and gave up 29 points, dropping this one 29-27. However, the Colts were impressive, in a game in which Stroud could’ve easily gone off for 300+ yards and a few more touchdowns in the air.

In total, the Colts had 4 sacks last week. They gave up 417 yards of total offense. This Texans offense is arguably one of the best and most explosive in the NFL with Joe Mixon, Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins, and Tank Dell.

This week, the Colts face the Packers who just lost Jordan Love. Now, they’ll be forced to start Malik Willis. Heading into his third year in the NFL, he has zero passing touchdowns and three interceptions. Yes, the sample size is obviously very small. However, he’s struggled in any opportunity he’s been given. Now, he is being forced into the starting role on a new team with a new offense in Week 2.
