Week 1 Fantasy Football RB Rankings: Start of the Week
Travis Etienne @ Miami Dolphins
This game is projected to be a shootout between two of the Florida teams. This week, the Jaguars @ Dolphins matchup has the second-highest over/under for the week at 49.5.
Furthermore, Miami’s defense projects to be questionable this year. In the offseason, they released linebacker Jerome Baker and cornerback Xavier Howard. Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins signed a massive free agent deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. Additionally, Linebacker Bradley Chubb is still recovering from an ACL tear last December. Not to mention, fellow linebacker Jaelen Phillips is returning from an Achilles tear.
Last year, Etienne finished as the RB2 but had a disappointing second half. There has been talk of backup Tank Bigbsy receiving more work this season. While this may be true to a degree, I expect Etienne to start on fire during week one, and to remind everyone why he was the RB2 in 2023.
