Week 1 Fantasy Football WR: Start of the Week

Tank Dell at Indianapolis Colts

Despite currently sitting outside of the top 30 in this week’s consensus rankings on FantasyPros, Tank Dell could hit big to start off the season.

Furthermore, the Texans are favored over the Colts in a game with the third-highest over/under of Week 1. Clearly, the experts expect plenty of points and scoring chances for the University of Houston product. The sophomore WR has matched up with the Colts and slot CB Kenny Moore II once in his career, finishing Week 2 of the 2023 season with 20.2 fantasy points (WR19 on the week).

Playing in a weather-controlled environment, I expect to see Dell and QB C.J. Stroud connect early and often. Despite the other receiving options in Houston, Dell should be able to provide WR2 value this week against a Colts team that has struggled to put pressure on opposing passers.
