Week 6 Quarterback Rankings – Fantasy Football (2024)
Week 5 saw a Thursday night shootout between NFC South rivals the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where Baker Mayfield and Kirk Cousins put up QB1 numbers. There was a Sunday shootout between AFC North rivals the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens that made Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow fantasy managers extremely happy. Now, we look ahead at our Week 6 quarterback rankings for this fantasy football season.
Impressively, we saw the continued maturation and amazing play by rookie phenom Jayden Daniels. A welcome to the QB1 club to Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars. Meanwhile, we saw a concerning second ugly game in a row (9 completions?!) by Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen.
Off to Week 6 and the continuation of the bye week. That means no Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, Sam Darnold, and Tyler Huntley. Well, maybe not Huntley. Here you will find my top 12 Fantasy Football QB rankings and tiers for Week 6. Each week, I’ll separate them into tiers along with one “Start of the Week.”

Week 6 Fantasy Football QB Rankings: Start of the Week
Dak Prescott vs. Detroit Lions
This game has one of the highest projected over/under for Week 6 at 52.5. The Cowboys have an implied 24.75 implied total. Needless to say, both of these teams will be going back and forth in a highly contested NFC battle.
Last week, Prescott against a much tougher Steelers secondary, threw for over 350 yards and two touchdowns. This week, he will be facing a Lions secondary that is allowing the fourth-most passing yards to quarterbacks. The Lions have one of the top rushing defenses in the league, and the Cowboys along with Prescott will look to air the ball out, rather than force an ineffective running game. Look for Prescott to throw for a minimum of 300 yards and two touchdowns.
