2024 NFL Draft Team Preview: USC Trojans
The USC Trojans ended the ’22/’23 season as the best team in the Pac-12. They were poised to make some noise as potential playoff contenders as they finished the regular season with an 11-1 record. Unfortunately, the Trojans’ season ended with a 47-24 loss to the Utah Utes in the Pac-12 playoffs.
With a load of talent on offense, led by one of the best quarterbacks in college football, USC has several players who will be drafted into the NFL in 2024. They head into the season as the No.6 overall team in the AP Top-25 poll. Several players on the team will put up phenomenal stats, but here are the top players on the USC Trojans to watch for in the 2024 NFL Draft.
5. #15 WR Dorian Singer
The NFL used to be filled with big wide receivers that can overmatch defenders with their size and strength. Now, we’re seeing sub-200 pound players win with their set of skills throughout their speed and route running ability, which is exactly how Singer wins. He has a slim frame but a massive catch radius with his long arms. With his speed, he can take the top off of the defense or beat defenders at the line of scrimmage with his quickness.
Furthermore, Singer is just a blast to watch with the ball in his hands. He’s great at finding open space, and despite the slighter frame, he can put his shoulder down and run defenders over. While he might not be in the tier with the top-rated receivers in the 2024 NFL Draft class, Singer has the ceiling to be a solid contributor at the next level.

4. #4 WR Mario Williams
Just like his quarterback, Williams followed his Head Coach, Lincoln Riley, from Oklahoma to USC, where he’s been a massive big-play threat. Like Singer, Williams has a slim frame and lacks height, but makes up for it with his speed and elusiveness. He’s a versatile receiver, lining up all over the offense for USC. Whether it’s in the slot, backfield, or jet motion, Williams gets put into a position where he can exploit weaknesses in a defense. He’s a threat at all three levels but is best as both an intermediate and deep threat.
Williams’ best attribute is as an explosive slot receiver, which is where he projects in the NFL. His combination of shiftiness as a route runner and ball carrier, as well as his willingness to take routes over the middle, makes him a dangerous threat at any point on the field.

3. #79 OL Jonah Monheim
A promising offensive lineman, Monheim has solid technique, football IQ, and versatility. As he continues to refine his hand power, functional strength, and pad level, he has the potential to develop into a reliable starting tackle in the NFL. He has played right tackle and right guard throughout his career at USC. However, he will be the starting left tackle this season.
Monheim has shown the ability to play multiple positions along the offensive line, making him a valuable asset, and with continued development, he will garner attention from NFL scouts as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches. Expect Monheim to be a key contributor to the USC offensive line during the season and potentially make a name for himself at a key position.

2. #7 S Calen Bullock
With athleticism, ball skills, and physicality, Bullock has the tools to excel in both pass coverage and run support roles at the next level. He has demonstrated the ability to play both in deep coverage as well as closer to the line of scrimmage. The type of versatility Bullock has adds tremendous value to NFL defenses.
Furthermore, he has natural instincts for tracking the ball in the air and is a major threat for turnovers. His physicality and willingness to engage in run support make him a solid tackler who can come downhill and make stops in the open field. As a big-bodied strong safety, Bullock will be viewed as one of the best safety prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.

1. #13 QB Caleb Williams
A combination of arm talent, athleticism, and leadership qualities make Williams one of the best prospects in the NFL Draft. He possesses a strong and accurate arm, capable of making all the throws required in the NFL. He can deliver deep passes with touch and zip intermediate throws into tight windows. Williams displays impressive football IQ and decision-making skills. Additionally, he reads defenses well and is capable of quickly progressing through his reads, making smart judgments based on coverage.
Known for his leadership qualities on and off the field, Williams has the ability to rally his teammates and command the huddle. His confidence and poise are assets that can instantly improve an NFL team. Ultimately, he will undoubtedly be a highly sought-after quarterback for a team looking for its next franchise signal-caller.
