The Buffalo Bills are coming off a 13-win season and have added a major weapon to the offense. That weapon that has already been successful in training camp at the tight end position is Dalton Kincaid.
The rookie from Utah was a national phenom posting 890 receiving yards his senior year. To add to the phenom status, he only dropped two passes in his college football career. He is a special player who the Buffalo Bills focused on taking in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Buffalo Bills last drafted a tight end in the first round in 1983.
Why is he so special for this team this season, and why should you want him on your fantasy team?
The Buffalo Bills still have Dawson Knox on the team, who was a massive red zone target for Josh Allen. This will be year number three for Knox and the mentor he looks up to. Allen has been a superstar in the making. He has already spoken highly of Knox in training camp, stating, “His instincts are very high, especially for a rookie tight end,” Allen said on One Bills Live. “Understanding in zone coverage which way to turn, whether it’s inside or outside. His catch radius is pretty big. He’s got some grippers on him, and he can move those around and snag the ball out of the air”.
In our 2023 Fantasy Football PPR Rankings, Kincaid is the 18th-ranked tight end. For a rookie, he is ahead of Knox, and playing time could be very interesting, with both players sharing the field.

The offense will want to see Kincaid on the field, and splitting time with Knox will only help him. That might sound wild, but in reality, one might ask why sharing time with Knox would help him. He knows what it is like to share the field with another tight end in his college career days at Utah. The vision is already in the air, with Allen looking in the red zone and seeing Knox covered and a wide-open Kincaid. Earning praise from Allen should only help stabilize your positive thoughts for him since he is one of the best quarterbacks in the game.
The Buffalo Bills have a lot of weapons on this team with Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis and Knox, but there will still be a small light at the end of the tunnel for Kincaid. I am not saying he will be a top-five tight end or top 10, but he can hover in the top 25 this season in the 2023 Fantasy Football PPR rankings.

Now this is my favorite part of the article: how he varies in the dynasty football area. In standard leagues, he is worth a late-round flier who can easily hit value as the season progresses. If you are wanting to trade him, I would advise you to wait and reap the rewards, then trade him away. For now, he will be a piece on the Buffalo Bills roster who can skyrocket!
