Fantasy Football Outlook: The Bills saw former starting running back Devin Singletary sign with the Houston Texans in free agency, leaving the team with James Cook and Nyheim Hines on the roster. Reportedly, Buffalo wanted to add a “bigger” running back this offseason.

Harris certainly fits that description for the Bills. He will take over as the early downs running back, with Cook and Hines mixing in. Last year the former New England Patriots running back struggled with injuries. Harris had only 106 rushing attempts for 462 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games last season.

However, the former Alabama running back was a fantasy football star in 2021. Harris had 202 rushing attempts for 929 yards and 15 touchdowns in 15 games that year. Furthermore, his 15 rushing touchdowns were the second-most in the NFL. If he can stay healthy in 2023, Harris has some fantasy upside.

While fantasy players should be excited about what Harris can offer this year, prepare for heartbreak. The Bills still could use their first or second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on a running back. If they go down that road, fantasy players will likely want to avoid the Buffalo backfield in 2023.
