DFS Stacks: Week 10 Winners

DFS stacks are necessary when building a slate-winning DFS lineup.  Every NFL DFS main slate for the remainder of the season is going to be absolutely loaded with strong plays across the salary spectrum. If you are building lineups for tournaments, GPPs, or large contests, it is absolutely imperative that you practice the art of stacking. Whether it’s a game stack or pure team stack, having multiple pieces of the most fantasy-friendly games on the slate is the way to separate you from the pack and push your roster to the top. Here are my favorite stacks to target this week in DFS Stacks: Week 10 Winners.

With that in mind, here are some of the top stacks for the Week 10 main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel.  I will also throw in a contrarian option for each stack in case these plays prove to be too chalky. So fire up the Soulja Boy, because we’re about to dive into some stacks on stacks on stacks.

Falcons-Cowboys Stacks

Dak Prescott + Amari Cooper + CeeDee Lamb + Russell Gage

You will be hard-pressed to find a tandem who played than Prescott and Lamb did last week. Their typically harmonious rapport was nowhere to be found as Lamb finished the game with a whopping 213 air yards but just 23 receiving yards.

This is a situation where you can’t go wrong no matter which Cowboys you stack. The Falcons are top-12 in points allowed to quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs and they allow the fifth-most points per play to opponents (0.43) this season.

Russell Gage came back into our lives last week after being shut out in Week 8. He saw eight targets and a team-leading 27% target share. His relatively low salary makes for an ideal bring-back in a game where sides should spend plenty of time throwing the ball.

Contrarian Stack: Ezekiel Elliott + Matt Ryan + Kyle Pitts

Vikings-Chargers Stacks

Justin Herbert + Keenan Allen + Justin Jefferson

This game has one of the highest potentials for a shootout on the slate. It has been bet up to 53 points from its open at 48.5 and still carries a tiny three-point spread in favor of the Chargers.

We have moved into the point of the season where Keenan Allen is the preferred target for Justin Herbert. Mike Williams has been dealing with a knee injury for some time so Allen has racked up a 33.8% target share the last three weeks. We saw Baltimore score at will in the second half last week, and Minnesota allows the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Until Williams gets back on track and Jared Cook shows some consistency, Allen is the pass-catcher to stack.

Jefferson got into the end zone for the first time since Week 4 last game, and his coaches have already come out and admitted they are going to try and get the ball to him moving forward. I buy into that hype and am fine with his modest salaries this week, especially on FanDuel ($7,500).

Contrarian Stack: Kirk Cousins + Dalvin Cook + Austin Ekeler

Packers-Seahawks Stacks

Russell Wilson + DK Metcalf + Davante Adams

Two quarterbacks could play in this game who have as many question marks as a Riddler costume. Will Aaron Rodgers even suit up? If not, can Jordan Love look even semi-competent? How rusty will Russell Wilson be in his five weeks off? Who is his preferred target in Week 10?

I tend to want to use Wilson in stacks on Sunday as we don’t know the status of Aaron Rodgers on Friday. Wilson is on the road and a three-point underdog so you can bet he is going to want to show everyone he is back and fully healed in this tough matchup. Metcalf’s salary is much more palpable on DK ($6,800) as it is about as low as it has been all season.

We know that Adams at least got the targets last week. He saw 14 passes come his way from Jordan Love, although he was only about to catch six of them for 42 yards. Adams won’t be nearly as popular as he normally is with an uncertain quarterback situation and a salary around $8,000 on DK. That makes him a great leverage play on players like Jefferson and Stefon Diggs who are slightly cheaper and will have a much higher roster percentage.

Contrarian Stack: Aaron Rodgers + Aaron Jones + DK Metcalf

Other Interesting DFS Stacks

James Conner + ARI DST + Christian McCaffrey

Any attempt to roster a Panthers wide receiver in recent weeks has been an exercise in futility and I imagine that trend continues this weekend. If you’re pursuing Panthers (which you certainly don’t have to since their implied total is 16.75), just go with McCaffrey who will be involved in the offense consistently no matter who the quarterback is. Conner’s salary across the sites is not high enough considering the workload he will get, especially if Kyler Murray misses another game. I don’t have to sell you on the Arizona DST in a home game against PJ Walker. It’s just a matter of do you want to pay for them.

Najee Harris + PIT DST + TJ Hockenson

I saw a stat this week that showed of the 10 players who were targeted on the Steelers Monday night, only one of them had an average depth of target (aDOT) of more than six yards. Big Ben Roethlisberger is losing arm strength before our very eyes, which means it’s going to be even more Najee time the rest of the year. Only the Jets allow more points to opposing running back and, to make matters worse, the Lions allow the second-most receiving touchdowns to running backs this year. Hockenson finally looked healthy again in Week 8 after drawing 11 targets, 10 receptions, and 89 receiving yards. The Lions are eight-point dogs on the road this week, so they should be throwing early and often.

Tom Brady + Mike Evans + Tyler Johnson + Terry McLaurin/JD McKissic

The Buccaneers are massive 9.5-point favorites in this game likely even without Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown. This total has been bet up to 51 (30.5 for Tampa) and Leonard Fournette likely isn’t getting four rushing touchdowns. That leaves Brady options in the passing game as Evans and Johnson, which immediately becomes a contrarian stack on the team with the second-highest implied total of the week. They haven’t been accurate targets, but McLaurin and McKissic are the guys getting all of Taylor Heinicke’s looks in recent weeks. No other pass catcher for Washington has proven anything this year and Tampa Bay allows just 78 yards per game on the ground but 258 yards to opponents through the air.
