The final week of the 2023 NFL regular season is officially upon us. It seems like just yesterday we were getting excited as the preseason finished up. Now we wrap it up in a week filled with exciting games and also some matchups that might seem more like preseason. Make sure you stick around for the playoffs as I will be providing my studs and values for those slates as well. Check out a quick recap of last week’s picks below followed by my Week 18 studs and values.

Week 17 DraftKings DFS Cash Game Picks – Recap

Smash

Najee Harris was an excellent value play finishing with 27.20 fantasy points. Had he not slid down at the one-yard line to ice the game he would have been the RB1.

Durham Smythe went over 50 receiving yards for the 2nd week in a row finishing with 8.40 fantasy points providing some solid value.

Rashee Rice continued as the Kansas City Chiefs’ number one target. He went over 100 yards and ultimately finished as the WR8 with 20.70 fantasy points.

Duds

George Kittle was a huge let down only catching three passes and finishing with only 5.90 fantasy points.

D’Andre Swift was very disappointing. He didn’t see much of any work in the passing attack catching only one pass. On the ground he was solid but ultimately only scored 7.60 fantasy points.

The Seattle Seahawks defense was terrible and it might have cost them a playoff spot. They finished with a whopping 0 fantasy points.

DFS Cash Game Picks for DraftKings – Week 18

Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott ($8,000)

After the Philadelphia Eagles’ second-half collapse, the Dallas Cowboys are now just one win away from winning the NFC East. Prescott has been a massive reason for that, playing like an MVP candidate for much of the season.

On the other hand, the Cowboys rushing attack has struggled all season and there’s no reason to believe that’s going to change this week. Moreover, Prescott had one of his best games of the season against the Washington Commanders back on Thanksgiving day, throwing for 331 passing yards and four touchdowns. Prescott will have to shoulder most of the offense again this week as the Cowboys look to take back the East.

Derek Carr ($5,600)

Carr has played much better in the last quarter of the season once he started getting healthy. Between his shoulder injury, rib injuries, and landing in concussion protocol, it’s amazing he’s even been able to start every game this season. This week, he matches up against the Atlanta Falcons, who are middle of the pack against opposing quarterbacks this season. Earlier this season, Carr threw for over 300 yards against the Falcons but he was unable to throw any touchdowns. However, Carr has thrown eight touchdowns in his last three games. Look for Carr to throw a couple of passing touchdowns this week to get in the 20+ fantasy point range.

Running Backs

Rachaad White ($7,600)

White has been excellent for much of the season outside of a slow start to begin the year. Since week 7, White has only had one game where he scored less than 15.9 DraftKings points. This week, he will face the Carolina Panthers who have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. They have allowed a league-high 21 rushing touchdowns and give up an average of 109.4 rushing yards per game. Earlier this season against the Panthers, White ran for 84 yards and one touchdown. He should have his way with the Panthers defense in a must-win showdown for the Buccaneers.

Israel Abanikanda ($4,400)

The New York Jets have been featuring the duo of Breece Hall and Abanikanda for the last three weeks. Hall has been the featured back but Abanikanda has still seen a solid 24 carries/targets over his last three games. This week, the New York Jets will face the New England Patriots defense who have been very good against running backs this season. However, they have allowed the ninth most receptions to running backs this year. More importantly, Jets quarterback Trevor Semien targeted Abanikanda out of the backfield seven times in last week’s matchup. This week should be much of the same making Abanikanda a great value play.

Wide Receivers

Chris Olave ($6,700)

Olave has been relatively boom or bust in the back half of this season. In his last five games, he has had three games where he went over 100 receiving yards. In the other two games, he had less than 28. However, in one of those five games he went for 114 yards against this Atlanta Falcons defense. Furthermore, the Falcons are coming off a game where they let DJ Moore torch them up and down the field for 60 minutes. Olave should have no problem doing the same and going over 100 yards in this matchup.

Demarcus Robinson ($4,500)

Robinson has scored at least 13.6 DraftKings fantasy points in each of the last five games. Getting Robinson at this price is an absolute steal, especially with some of the Los Angeles Rams stars sitting out for this game. Robinson and Puka Nacua will be the top receiving options for first-time Rams starting quarterback Carson Wentz.

Robinson has been all around the league the last few seasons but he may have finally found a home in Los Angeles. He needs just 96 receiving yards and one touchdown to break his career highs despite only playing 33 snaps in the first 10 weeks of the season. Moreover, the 49ers are one of the top five worst teams against outside receivers in terms of fantasy points allowed making Robinson an excellent value play.

Tight Ends

Trey McBride ($6,000)

McBride has had a year two breakout but more specifically, it’s been a second half breakout. Through the first five games of the season, McBride only had eight receptions. Since then, he has added 70 receptions to his season total. More importantly, in his last eight games, he has at least five receptions in each. That lines up with Kyler Murray making his return having started the last eight games. The duo has had a great connection and that should continue again for the final game of the season.

Stone Smartt ($2,500)

For the last two weeks, I’ve gone with extreme tight end value, and for the most part, it has worked. Let’s see if we can make it three in a row with Smartt. He has overtaken Donald Parham as the tight end two but Smartt has still only seen six targets in his last three games. It will likely take a touchdown for Smartt to provide value. However, the Kansas City Chiefs clinched the AFC West so, they will be resting a lot of their starters. That should open the door for the Los Angeles Chargers to move the ball a little better and give Smartt a few more touchdown opportunities.

Defense / Special Teams

New York Jets ($3,700)

The Jets have had a rough season after starting the season with high expectations. Once Aaron Rodgers went down in the first quarter week one it was all downhill from there. However, their defense has played pretty well for much of the season. They have forced 25 turnovers and have added four defensive touchdowns on the season. Now they will face turnover-prone quarterback Bailey Zappe. He has thrown seven interceptions this season despite only starting in a handful of games. Look for the Jets to end the season strong with a good defensive performance against their division rival.
