DraftKings-NFL-DFS-Cash-Game-Picks-Championship-Weekend

The big game is just a few weeks away as we are down to the final four teams. In the NFC, Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions are looking for their first Super Bowl appearance as they head into San Francisco to face Brock Purdy and the 49ers. Then over in the AFC, we have a matchup between the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs as they head into Baltimore to face the Ravens.

Needless to say, these are two highly anticipated matchups with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. Last week’s picks were on fire outside of the wide receivers. Let’s hope for another strong week heading into the Super Bowl.

DraftKings NFL DFS Cash Game Picks

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson ($7,700)

This week, the studs and value players are in two groups of two. If you are going with a higher-priced stud, it’s Jackson or Patrick Mahomes. Jackson’s dual-threat ability gives him the edge at least for fantasy points against Mahomes. Unfortunately, he only threw for 152 passing yards last week but was still able to score over double what Mahomes did because of his rushing ability.

Moreover, Jackson is going up against a banged-up Chiefs defense compared to Mahomes who is facing an elite Ravens defense. Notably, during the regular season, the Chiefs allowed the ninth-most rushing yards to quarterbacks. Look for Jackson to have a solid fantasy day even if the Ravens are unable to secure the victory.

Brock Purdy ($6,400)

For value quarterbacks this week, it’s down to Jared Goff and Purdy. Purdy struggled for much of the game in last week’s battle against the Green Bay Packers. However, he made some huge plays in the fourth quarter leading the 49ers down the field before ultimately handing the ball off to Christian McCaffrey for the game-winning touchdown. This week, Purdy will need to play better from start to finish if the 49ers are going to advance to the Super Bowl. Especially, since the Lions allowed the third most passing yards to quarterbacks during the regular season. Look for Kyle Shannahan to open up the playbook for Purdy and the passing attack.

Running Backs

David Montgomery ($5,600)

The 49ers have a very good run defense and for that reason, Montgomery will likely be lower owned. However, for the Lions to win this game, they will need to feed Montgomery. If the Lions aren’t able to get the run game going, they might be in for a long game. More importantly, before this past weekend’s game Montgomery had scored a touchdown in four straight games.

While the 49ers allowed the second least rushing yards to running backs this season, they did surrender eight rushing touchdowns to the position. Look for Montgomery to get back into the end zone this weekend.

Justice Hill ($4,800)

The Baltimore Ravens backfield has been a mess with injuries all season. Hill was an afterthought at the beginning of the season and now he could be an X-factor to help send his team to the Super Bowl. This week, the Ravens backfield will have a tough test against a very good Kansas City run defense. The Chiefs should be able to hold Gus Edwards in check hopefully forcing Hill into a bigger role.

More importantly, Hill has been good in the passing attack at times this season. He was also the best running back against the run last week against a very solid Houston Texans run defense. Look for Hill to be the leading Ravens running back again this week.

Wide Receivers

Brandon Aiyuk ($6,900)

Aiyuk and Purdy connected for 10 yards on a massive third down slant late in the game this past Saturday night. The 49ers are going to need that connection to continue this week against a weak Lions secondary. Furthermore, Aiyuk is very much overdue for a touchdown having only scored one time in his last six games.

Overall, this matchup is the perfect opportunity for Aiyuk to find the endzone as the Lions allowed 22 touchdowns to wide receivers during the regular season. Look for Aiyuk and Purdy to have huge games sending the 49ers to the big game.

Jauan Jennings ($4,600)

With this being a smaller slate, going with a quarterback and two wide receivers stack is very much worth it. As I mentioned earlier, the Lions secondary has struggled much of the season and the 49ers are going to need their receivers to come up big to win this game. With Deebo banged up, even if he plays, he won’t be fully healthy, therefore Jennings will be forced into a bigger role. Last week against the Packers Jennings stepped up catching five passes for 61 yards. Look for him to have a similar stat line and hopefully, he can find the end zone as well to provide tremendous value.

Tight Ends

Sam LaPorta ($5,400)

LaPorta has hit the ground running as a rookie this season. More importantly, he’s the number two option in the Lions’ passing attack and vital to their success, especially this week. While this week is a tough test against a very good 49ers defense, Laporta should see plenty of volume to make him worth his salary. However, this is a good week to punt the tight end position with tough matchups all across the board.

Noah Gray ($2,500)

The value tight ends are pretty tough this week with it being such a small slate. However, Gray offers some good value if he can find the end zone or can make a couple of big plays. Last week against the Buffalo Bills, Gray was in on 60% of the snaps. Furthermore, during the regular season when he ran routes, he saw a solid 15% target share on routes run. They have designed plays for Gray and all we need is one or two of those to hit to give us good value.

Defense / Special Teams

San Francisco 49ers ($3,300)

The 49ers’ defense has the highest ceiling of the four teams playing this weekend. If they can get after Goff and make him uncomfortable in the pocket, he is liable to make some mistakes. The good news for the 49ers is they have the personnel to make that happen. The bad news is they haven’t been getting the sack number we all expected in the last few games. Last week against the Green Bay Packers, they had zero sacks.

Furthermore, Nick Bosa has gone four straight games without recording a single sack. That needs to change if the 49ers are going to slow down the Lions’ offense and I expect Bosa to come up big and make at least one game-changing play on Sunday.
