Whether you’re rebuilding from scratch or looking to bolster an already competitive lineup, this guide will help you make the right choices to set your dynasty fantasy football team up for success.

Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft – 1QB Fantasy Football (2025)

My dynasty degenerates, WE UNITE! When it comes to playing dynasty fantasy football, we are always looking ahead to the future. Here, we are kicking off our dynasty content with a way too early 2025 1QB dynasty rookie mock draft. Now, keep in mind things will change from here until the time players declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. As always, they’ll change after the actual NFL Draft as well. So, the flexibility over the next six months will be exciting. For now, here is how I see the 2025 1QB drafts going. Let’s get started.

1.01 Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Ashton Jeanty is a name you need to get more familiarized with. Many if not all college football fans didn’t know who the Junior out of Boise State was until he Played Oregon in Week 2 of the college football season. Impressively, he rushed 25 times for 192 yards and three touchdowns. However, it doesn’t end there for Jeanty. This kid is a beast as he’s averaging 197 rushing yards a game and already has 19 (18 rushing) total touchdowns.

Furthermore, he has almost hit his total rushing yards from last year with half the number of attempts. He’s the real deal as a three-down running back. Recently, getting back-to-back games with over 30 carries. He had his worst game versus UNLV, but I’m not budging.

Many may knock Jeanty because he doesn’t play for a Power 5 offense. However, that doesn’t bother me as I am all in on him. I  will gladly be taking him at the top of my dynasty rookie drafts for the 2025 class.

1.02 Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Coming in at 6’5 and 212 pounds Tetairoa McMillan is an NFL Scout’s dream. From his ability to catch contested balls along with his run after the catch, he can do a lot. For the season, McMillan has had quite the roller coaster of inconsistency. Back in Week 1, he posted 10 catches for 304 yards along with four touchdowns against New Mexico. The next week, he had two catches for 11 yards.

The inconsistencies continue, but in McMillan’s defense, he has been double-teamed or has seen a lot of Cover-2 this season. Although he hasn’t gotten the ball as much as he would probably like or prefer, he is very team-oriented and looks at his game as a team first. More than an individual performance. Ultimately, this will more than likely continue to have his good and bad games. However, if you watch him play it will be easier to understand. I’ll gladly take him here second in this dynasty rookie mock draft.

1.03 Luther Burden, WR, Missouri

Currently, Luther Burden is experiencing a touchdown drought. He’s also off to a slower start compared to his Sophomore season, I can’t see him falling any lower in dynasty rookie drafts here. To be honest, it’s a toss-up to preference who should be the first wide receiver off the board in our rookie drafts. Being viewed as one of the best in college football can always be hard to live up to year in and year out.

While it may be a down year for Burden, his skills are second to none. He has great ball-tracking skills, especially in man coverage. Additionally, he has jets as we saw in a jet sweep against UMass. With great hands, impressive maneuvering, along with his one-cut ability to stop and go, Burden has a chance to be a WR1 at the next level.

1.04 Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

The Carolina Tar Heels may be struggling as a team this year. However, one bright star on the team is currently the ACC’s leading rusher Omarion Hampton. Last season Hampton became a well-known name for UNC last season. Impressively, he recorded 1,504 rushing yards and finished fifth nationally amongst FBS running backs. Currently, Hampton is well on his way to surpassing that total as he is sitting third amongst FBS running backs with 901 rushing yards.

Hampton may not be Ashton Jeanty, but he is a running back I could see hearing his name called right after him. Hampton has the mold to be an every-down running back who can handle the volume as we’ve seen in his recent games. You will see his explosiveness when running the ball along with the physicality and contact balance you would expect. Overall, I’m excited to draft him here as he has six games in a row over 100 rushing yards.

1.05 Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado

We’ve seen the battle of back and forth of who should win the Heisman Trophy. It’s been between Ashton Jeanty and Travis Hunter. Here, I am projecting Hunter to be drafted as a wide receiver. Keep in mind, that he could be selected to be a defensive back. However, for this exercise, he’s going to be a wide receiver.

For a player who plays both sides of the ball, Hunter is a true highlight reel. For as many snaps as this kid plays on both sides of the ball, it’s just mind-blowing. Already looking to top his 2023 stats, Hunter should hear his name in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. This kid is that good and worth a high pick in your dynasty rookie drafts. No matter where he plays, he’ll end up being a very valuable dynasty league football asset.

1.06 TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

Should TreVeyon Henderson have gone pro last year? That may have been a better call not knowing Quinshon Judkins was going to transfer to Ohio State. Personally, I am comfortable putting Henderson here as my RB3. He has that home run-hitting speed and the willingness to carry defenders on his back.

Furthermore, his blocking ability will keep him on the field more often than not. Although he doesn’t have as many carries as he’s had in years past, he’s more efficient with them seeing his average carry-up over two yards a carry.

1.07 Nick Singleton, RB, Penn State

How many of you remember a few years back when Nick Singleton was being called the next Saquon Barkley…But better? Yeah, me too. Although, as a true Freshman he won Big-10 Freshman of the Year, he fell off during his Sophomore year. Now here in his Junior year, Singleton has bounced back and looks just as good as his Freshman year.

If raw talent was the only thing we looked at, Singleton would easily be the RB1 of this class. He’s been great as a running back rotating with fellow junior running back Kaytron Allen. Overall, his burst and speed are some of the best along with his pass-catching ability. In the end, this should make him a top-100 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and I’m here for it.

1.08 Ollie Gordon, RB, Oklahoma State

Seems like yesterday we were just looking at Ollie Gordon to be the best running back in the country. However, the Oklahoma State running back has not lived up to expectations. Don’t knock him too much though, as this entire football squad has taken a step back.

From averaging 6.1 YPC, along with 1,732 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, Gordon has now put up 491 yards and six touchdowns this year. Thankfully, Gordon has shown flashes of his 2023 self this season. If you are going to judge him, look at his 2023 tape for yourself. As a result, he would have been higher if it weren’t for the letdown year. Ultimately, I trust the talent here with Gordon.

1.09 Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss

This is the part of the draft where it starts really getting interesting. One player I could see continuing to rise here is Tre Harris. Week in and week out he continues to produce. Even against tougher competition like No.13 LSU where Harris caught seven balls for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Although his separation isn’t ideal to some, his 50/50 ball sure is. He could be a great X receiver at the next level who could make a reliable WR2 in the NFL. For now, Harris is inside the top 10 of this dynasty rookie mock draft.

1.10 Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

Alright, these wide receivers so far are exceptionally good to great. With that, one who is moving up draft boards is Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond. The reason why I’m taking Bond here is because the top-end wide receiver talent is starting to dwindle. Looking at this 2025 class, the depth of running back looks great. That might not be the case for the WRs.

As for Bond, the Alabama transfer has transitioned well into the Longhorns offense. His big-play ability looks like he’s been in this offense for years. Additionally, his explosiveness as a runner is similar to that of Deebo Samuel out of the backfield. Overall, his versatility as a receiver and a rusher can’t be ignored. The upside of a weapon like this is tough to pass up.

1.11 Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

This time last year we were writing in Emeka Egbuka as a 2024 dynasty rookie first-round pick. Being in the shadows of Marvin Harrison Jr. and an injury-riddled year, Egbika elected to come back for his Senior season at Ohio State. However, he has been playing similarly to his 2023 season so that big play ability is still there.

According to PFF, Eqbuka is one of college football’s highest-graded wide receivers (87.4) this season. He’s trending in the right direction and I may be too low on here taking him at 10th overall. However, if you look at it in a positive way, he’s one of two Buckeyes currently going in the first round of this rookie mock draft.

1.12 Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa

Coming out of Tight End U is not a tight end, but a running back out of Iowa. If we weren’t all over Ashton Jeanty’s historic performance, we would be looking at Kaleb Johnson leading the FBS in rushing. Although he may not have burning top speed, Johnson can destroy defenses with his stellar vision and patience.

Furthermore, Johnson’s patience is similar to that of the vintage Le’Veon Bell as he patiently waits for his offensive line to open the hole. Then uses his body to power forward. We’ve seen him use that power to get into the end zone week in and week out this year. Impressively, he has 17 total touchdowns this year and 16 of them are rushing TDs.

Johnson wraps up this 2025 dynasty rookie mock draft. Stay tuned as we’ll have tons of free dynasty rookie content, ADP, mock drafts, and more all off-season long. If you’re curious how we had the 2024 rookie draft class broken down, check out our 2024 NFL Draft Top Prospects and Big Board.
