Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott – $7,500 – Ownership Proj. 5%

It’s no secret that Prescott has had issues with turning the ball over this year. This week, he faces a Commanders team that will head into this game with their third-string quarterback and running back starting. Furthermore, they seem to be content on seeing what they have going into the off-season while Prescott and the Cowboys could potentially steal the #1 seed should the Eagles lose and they get a bit of help elsewhere. That should be incentive enough for Prescott to up his game and minimize the turnovers.

Brock Purdy – $6,900 – Ownership Proj. 6%

Purdy has more than risen to the occasion since taking over for Jimmy Garoppolo. In each of the last three weeks, he’s scored 16.48-18.06 FanDuel points which are within his GPP target score range. The 49ers, similar to the Cowboys, also have a shot at the #1 seed if they can win and get some help along the way.

Running Backs

Najee Harris – $7,200 – Ownership Proj. 8%

Mike Tomlin has orchestrated a mid-season turnaround for the Steelers who have a chance to not only finish with a winning record but also make the playoffs. Facing the Browns this week who are ranked 20th in rushing defense DVOA. Having 24 touches last week bolsters my confidence in Harris as we’ve seen Tomlin do all but squeeze blood from a stone with his teams. Harris will be leaned upon and should get the usage we need for a nice GPP score.

D’Andre Swift – $7,100 – Ownership Proj. 6%

The Lions need a win and a Seattle loss to earn a playoff seed. The way to beat the Packers is on the ground as they are ranked 31st in rushing defense DVOA. Even if the game goes the other way a bit and the Lions need to pass Swift should remain involved. If you feel the Lions take this game you could also go with Jamaal Williams.

Zack Moss – $6,800 – Ownership Proj. 5%

We’ve picked on the Texans run defense most of the season and I see no reason to stop now. Moss has taken over the job in the absence of Jonathan Taylor and received 24,13, and 15 touches over the last three weeks. The hope here is that the Texans continue to get steamrolled and Moss can grab a touchdown to end the season on the right foot.

Wide Receivers

Ja’Marr Chase – $8,500 – Ownership Proj. 16%

Here is my favorite pay-up option at the wide receiver position this week. I think a lot of people will go with Justin Jefferson with him being close to the record and feeling that Minnesota will force-feed him. While I think Jefferson is a top option I like the quarterback that Chase has throwing to him far more. The Bengals face the Ravens who are ranked 24th in passing defense and 3rd in rushing. I look for Burrow to connect with his receivers often with Chase being the primary beneficiary.

Allen Lazard – $6,400 – Ownership Proj. 7%

While Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been himself he gets the opportunity to play the 30th-ranked Lions pass defense this week. With a win, the Packers will head into the playoffs so there’s enough incentive for the offense to get on track. I think Christian Watson will draw higher ownership but Lazard is my target this week.

Diontae Johnson – $6,300 – Ownership Proj. 5%

I’m giving away one of my stacks by listing Johnson here but we can touch on that a bit later. The Steelers have been and will continue to play hard for Coach Tomlin who will continue his streak of no losing seasons. Johnson has been getting more target share as of late and I think that translates into a solid ending to the season for him and the Steelers. We also get a reasonable salary and low ownership here which adds to his value.

Tight Ends

Dallas Goedert – $6,200 – Ownership Proj. 6%

I touched on what the Cowboys need to do but the Eagles win and they capture the #1 seed in the NFC. Goedert has maintained some value while Hurts has been out but there’s no doubt he has a higher upside with him. I think the Eagles will come out firing in hopes the game gets out of hand early and they can rest their starters at some point. I think Goedert hits his GPP target score range before the rest occurs and his salary and ownership give us a little leverage.

Tyler Higbee – $5,600 – Ownership Proj. 6%

Tight ends against Seattle are like running backs against Houston, lock them in. I don’t see another two-touchdown performance but playing Seattle I think Higbee can find the end zone this week and get around 15 FanDuel points.

Defense/Special Teams

Houston Texans – $4,000 – Ownership Proj. 4%

I know I listed Moss above but I still think he can get his while the pass defense makes the Colts pay. It also doesn’t hurt that they are only $4,000 with low ownership.

GPP Stacks

Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals

I mean what can we say Tyler Huntley is bringing home the bacon for us this week. Ok, I can’t keep a straight face, I’m joking. I’m going with a Burrow and Chase stack. I don’t love anyone specific to run back with but if forced I would go with Donovan Peoples-Jones or David Njoku.

Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers

I think most people will be paying up for the quarterback position so this stack will give up some leverage and hopefully a decent amount of points. Brock Purdy/George Kittle stack and again there are no runbacks I love so I won’t be using one here. You could also add Christian McCaffrey in if you have the salary available.
