Fantasy Football Outlook – Treylon Burks to the Titans
I would have loved this pick more if A.J. Brown wasn’t part of the deal. Along with fellow first-round selection Drake London, Burks has the chance to see over 75+ targets in the upcoming season. It’s a questionable pick overall for the Titans and their run-heavy offense, but once they traded away Brown, the pick makes sense with the build and size of Burks.
If the Titans were comfortable enough to trade away a stud receiver like Brown, then they must really, really like Burks. This is always a good thing for fantasy football purposes.
Pick: Round 1, Pick 18
Redraft Outlook
The only competition that Burks has as of this writing is Robert Woods. With the Titans’ offense being run-centric I see Burks being at best a WR3 to start out for fantasy purposes, with a chance to push into the Top-24 if all goes right. He’ll be worth a late-round pick in redraft leagues this year with plenty of upside.
Dynasty Outlook
Burks should be drafted as a WR2/3 in dynasty leagues and is a good building piece for those with a Top-5 rookie pick who are rebuilding. Burks is a 50/50 kind of player, either you love him or you hate him. I’m a big fan of him and can see big things coming for Burks as he replaces Brown. He has the potential to be a WR1 in the long term, especially after the Ryan Tannehill era.
