Welcome to our Week 7 fantasy football rankings and tiers for running backs. With the NFL season heating up, the wide receiver landscape is constantly shifting. Whether you’re managing a redraft team or navigating the complexities of a dynasty league, finding the right wideouts is key to building a winning lineup.

In this article, we break down the top running backs for the week. Additionally, we break them into tiers, helping you make informed decisions for your Week 7 matchups. From elite RB1s to under-the-radar sleepers, we’ve got you covered. Let’s dive in!

Fantasy Football Rankings: Week 7 Running Backs

In Week 6, we saw the continued dominance of King Derrick Henry (over 130 rushing yards and two TDs). Also, we saw the return to RB1 status for Breece Hall and Bijan Robinson. Those fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief, for now. Waiver Wire superhero Jordan Mason suffered a “minor” AC joint sprain that will keep him day-to-day. Lastly, we had another “Monday Night Screwjob” when the Buffalo Bills, made a late scratch out of running back James Cook. Despite participating in a light practice on Saturday and seemed on track to play. Hopefully, you had Ray Davis as a backup plan.

We are officially 1/3 of our way through the 2024 NFL season. Off to Week 7 and the continuation of the bye week. The Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears have their bye week this week. Notably, that means no D’Andre Swift and no Rico Dowdle. Hopefully, you didn’t have to rely on starting Ezekiel Elliott in any of your fantasy football leagues.

Here you will find my top 24 Fantasy Football RB rankings and tiers for Week 7. Each week, I’ll separate them into tiers along with one “Start of the Week.”

Week 7 Fantasy Football RB Rankings: Start of the Week

Chuba Hubbard at Washington Commanders

I really wanted to pick the “revenge game” with Saquon Barkley against his former team, the New York Giants. But somehow, picking my RB2 for the “Start of the Week” would be extremely low-hanging fruit and simply not good analysis.

Instead, I went with Carolina Panthers back Chuba Hubbard. You may not haven’t noticed, but after six weeks of football, Hubbard is the RB7. Impressively he is ahead of notable first-round redraft league picks, Breece Hall and Bijan Robinson.

The 21-day practice window should be opened up this week for highly touted Panthers rookie back Jonathon Brooks. The 46th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has missed the first six weeks of the season. He’s recovering from his ACL tear suffered last year, and could step onto the field as early as Week 7 or as late as Week 10. Hubbard isn’t going to let go of the Panthers backfield that easily or willingly. Another strong performance against the terrible Commanders defense (allowing almost 140 yards per game on the ground), will go a long way to making things difficult for his coaches when Brooks returns.

Overall, Hubbard is a must-start option this week and cracks the top 10 of our Week 7 fantasy football rankings and tiers. Make sure you get him into your lineups. Check back all season long for the latest fantasy football rankings and tiers. Good luck this week.
