Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 14

Week 13 is in the books after an exciting and windy matchup between the Bills and Patriots. This week was not super crazy, but we now have one week to go until the fantasy football playoffs. This is the week to look ahead at some playoff matchups. Go grab that defense for the wild card game, go be aggressive with your FAAB. We will see the Colts, Dolphins, Patriots, and Eagles all on bye weeks. If you roster Jonathan Taylor and are fighting for a playoff spot, go be aggressive. Let’s get right to it with Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 14.

Running Backs

Dontrell Hilliard, Tennessee Titans, 36% rostered

Hilliard may have snuck unclaimed with the Titans on a bye this past week. Hilliard rushed 12 times for 131 yards and a long 68-yard touchdown. He also caught one of two targets for 2 yards. With D’Onta Foreman carving a role as well, it looks like a true split in this backfield with Adrian Peterson cut. He only went up 8% rostered over the week.

D’Onta Foreman, Tennessee Titans, 34% rostered

Similar to Dontrell Hilliard, D’Onta Foreman may have snuck through the waiver claims with his team on a bye. He rushed 19 times for 109 yards. He also caught his only target for three yards. With Jeremy McNichols still out with a concussion, it seems like this backfield is a two-man show with Hilliard and Foreman, and both need to be rostered. He was dropped by 7% over the week.

Tevin Coleman, New York Jets, 42% rostered

With Michael Carter on IR, Tevin Coleman has been leading the Jets backfield. Against the Eagles, he rushed 11 times for 58 yards, while catching three of four targets for 19 yards. Coleman isn’t someone that will win a game, but he can provide a solid start.

Ameer Abdullah, Carolina Panthers, 2% rostered (Deep Leagues)

With Christian McCaffrey done for the season, Chuba Hubbard is set to lead the backfield.  Hubbard is expected to lead the backfield, but Abdullah seems to fill in. In his last game with McCaffrey out, he saw six targets in the air. Abdullah is looking like a deep league flier.

Wide Receivers

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons, 25% rostered

Russell Gage has been getting better each week. This week against Tampa, he caught 11 of 12 targets for 130 yards. He has seen seven or more targets in his last three games and needs to be rostered at a minimum in 12 team leagues.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions, 7% rostered

The Lions have won a game!!!! A preseason favorite of mine had the best game of his rookie season catching ten of 12 targets for 86 yards and the walk-off touchdown at the end. St. Brown is a good flier for deeper leagues, but he’s someone to keep an eye on.

KJ Osborn, Minnesota Vikings, 4% rostered

With Adam Thielen injured, KJ Osborn has the chance to step into a bigger role. On Sunday, he caught four of seven targets for 47 yards and a touchdown. Monitor Thielen’s status, but if he’s forced to miss any time, Osborn is a nice deep league flier.

Jamison Crowder, New York Jets, 25% rostered

With Corey Davis out for the season, Jamison Crowder is now the Jets’ second target outside of Elijah Moore. Crowder is very reliable, and when given the chance can produce. On Sunday, he caught four of six targets for 62 yards. I would expect Zach Wilson to look at Crowder’s way more often.

Jalen Guyton, Los Angeles Chargers, 0% rostered (Deep Leagues)

With Keenan Allen being placed on the COVID list, Jalen Guyton has the chance to elevate to the WR2 role. On Sunday, he caught all four of his targets for 90 yards and a touchdown. Keep an eye if Allen misses next week, as Guyton would become a deep streamer.

Tight Ends

Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears, 14% rostered

Cole Kmet has been getting more involved in the offense. Coming off an 11 target game, he caught three of seven targets for 41 yards. It’s not much, but it’s showing how involved in the offense he’s becoming.

Tyler Conklin, Minnesota Vikings, 34% rostered

Tyler Conklin is filling in the tight end if you need a Darren Waller replacement. He caught seven of nine targets for 56 yards on Sunday. He saw his biggest target share of the season.
