Free DraftKings DFS Picks and Bargains – Week 7 (2023)
Welcome to Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season. This series covers the top DraftKings value picks and bargains on the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) slate for Week 7.
To recap Week 6, Desmond Ridder was in the Milly maker lineup with 22.08 DraftKings points at a 4.24 ownership percentage. Emari Demercado was terrible and I was expecting a bigger workload from him. Brandon Powell had 3 receptions for 20 yards while the Minnesota Vikings barely squeaked by the Chicago Bears. Tyler Conklin earned 3 receptions for 24 yards while the New York Jets pulled off a huge upset against the Philadelphia Eagles. Week 7 will be much better for us!
Quarterback – Sam Howell, $5,500, Washington Commanders
I am staying below the six thousand salary range in the quarterback position on DraftKings. The reason why it is above that salary range is middle of the pack options but this is a value article. This week, Sam Howell is the most consistent option as a value against the New York Giants.
Howell is coming off a three-touchdown game and he is starting to come into fantastic form. In the past three games, he has 19.6, 29.42, and 18.34 DraftKings point performances. The New York Giants defense is terrible against quarterbacks and this is a dream spot for Howell. Paying down for Howell on DraftKings will allow you to roster Terry McLaurin as his number-one option.
Honorable Mentions: Desmond Ridder and Gardner Minshew
Running Back – Zach Evans, $4,000, Los Angeles Rams
Zach Evans is now in line to be the starting running back for the Los Angeles Rams heading into this week. Kyrien Williams is expected to miss this week along with Ronnie Rivers being doubtful to play. Evans was drafted in the NFL 2023 Draft out of round 6. In his first start of his career, it can’t get any better than the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The workload is going to be all of Evans and I believe in the rookie in the Los Angeles Rams system. In regards to the pressure on the rookie, Matthew Stafford has the tools in the passing offense to handle business. I am not expecting Evans to score three touchdowns but the ability to pay off the DraftKings price tag can easily be done by him. I understand Myles Gaskin is signing on the team but the Los Angeles Rams can still give Evans a role.
Wide Receiver – Wan’Dale Robinson, $3,800, New York Giants
The New York Giants are a team that I wish I could understand the choices being made. Wan’Dale Robinson is trying to be the light at the end of the tunnel in the wide receiver group. In regards to touchdowns, they haven’t been there for Robinson but the targets are booming. Despite Daniel Jones being out last game, Tyrod Taylor involved Robinson early and late in the game.
Last game, Robinson had a stat line of 8 receptions for 62 yards. He is the number three receiver in regards to snap count based on his seeing 46 snaps. Next in line was Darius Slayton at 67 snaps and Jalin Hyatt at 56 snaps. In terms of production, it has been all Robinson. It is time to consider Robinson and he is a nice run-back option in your DraftKings lineup with Howell.
Honorable Mentions: Josh Downs and Curtis Samuel
Tight End – Luke Musgrave, $3,300, Green Bay Packers
In terms of a matchup, this has to be the matchup that Luke Musgrave breaks out. In our Fantasy Football Consistency Score tool, the Denver Broncos are number one in allowing fantasy points to tight ends at 16.77 fantasy points. Jordan Love has a connection with him based on the targets he has earned when fully healthy.
The discussion is in the past for Musgrave and before the bye week, he had 6 receptions on 7 targets for 34 receiving yards. A touchdown has not been there yet for him but this has to be the week he finds the end zone. Overall, the routes ran are there, receiving yards, connection with Love, and the matchup is in his favor. Breakout week is in the air for Musgrave!
Honorable Mentions: Zach Ertz and Dawson Knox
