Justin Jefferson Placed On Injured Reserve By Vikings
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Minnesota Vikings have placed WR Justin Jefferson on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury suffered in Week 5.
Justin Jefferson To IR – Fantasy Football Impact
With Jefferson on the injured reserve list, the reeling Vikings could begin to blow up this team and tank for the 2024 NFL Draft, notably, by trading away aging QB Kirk Cousins while he still has value. Remember, Cousins is set to be a free agent this offseason, and trading Cousins now is a way for the Vikings to get compensation rather than letting him walk for free.
From a fantasy football POV, it is safe to say that both Jordan Addison and K.J. Osborn are must-adds for your fantasy football team. While Addison is expected to assume the No. 1 wide receiver duties, Osborn also brings value to the table on a higher volume passing attack. Brandon Powell could be in play if you have an expendable bench spot if you are in a deeper fantasy football format. Powell is in line to emerge in three-wide sets for the Vikings.
