Mike Gesicki To The Patriots – Fantasy Outlook

Fantasy Football Outlook: I hoped Gesicki would land in a more potent offense like the Chargers or replace Dalton Schultz if he decides to leave Dallas. However, Mac Jones and the Patriots will have to do. While I am not a fan of this landing spot for Gesicki, he can have some good weeks for fantasy football purposes.
It will be interesting to see how the pecking order in the receiving game plays out. As you know, the Patriots just signed JuJu Smith-Schuster, who, like Gesicki, flourishes playing from the slot. Smith-Schuster will establish himself as the number-one option in the receiving game throughout the 2023 NFL season.
After that, it is a question mark. Does Rhamondre build on his 88-reception season? Does Tyquan Thornton take a step up from his rookie season? Gesicki might surprise us next season, and it depends on how Belichick plans to use him in the offense.
In addition to Gesicki’s role, we will see if Jones favors him or Hunter Henry. Jonnu Smith heading to the Falcons will give Gesicki a bit more of an opportunity, but not a ton. We will need to let things play out, but there are available opportunities in New England. Regarding fantasy football, targeting Gesicki in the later rounds of best ball drafts might be the best play for now.
