This Monday Night Primetime slugfest features the Chicago Bears traveling to Heinz Field to play the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are currently seven-point favorites with a 39 point game total. For the Bears, Damien Williams will be out while Darnell Mooney is listed as questionable. Also, Bears coach Matt Nagy says that there is a really good chance David Montgomery will play in his first game since Week 4. For the Steelers, Eric Ebron has been ruled out.

MVP Options

Najee Harris ($16,500)

While Najee Harris has not been the most efficient running back in the league he has the fifth-most rushing attempts along with the second-most receptions among running backs. Along with this volume, he has a great matchup as the Bears have given up the fourth-most rushing yards in the NFL. In a low projected total, Harris will be fed early and often making him a top option for the slate’s top scorer.

Diontae Johnson ($13,500)

Diontae Johnson has received 10 or more targets in all but one game. He is averaging just under seven receptions and 79 yards per game. The Bears have given up 35 FanDuel points per game to opposing wide receivers which is fifth-worst in the league. They have also given up 12 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers. which is second-most in the NFL. I like Johnson to find the endzone in this contest. He is likely to be the lesser owned MVP and given his volume and the Bear’s weaker pass defense I am going to be high on Johnson in this spot.

Flex Plays

Cole Kmet ($7,500)

Cole Kmet is nothing more than a salary relief play with a solid role to get some of the higher-priced guys into our lineups. Over the last four weeks, he has averaged just over five targets per game. The Steelers defense is very good and it may force Justin Fields to rely more on Kmet working the shorter routes.

Chris Boswell ($9,000) and Cairo Santos ($8,500)

I do not normally suggest playing kickers, but in lower total games there is more of a path one will be able to make the optimal. Both teams rank inside of the top ten in field goals made against them, suggesting that offenses are forced to take field goals against these above-average defenses.

Chase Claypool ($11,500)

While Diontae Johnson has been the Steeler’s top option, Claypool still has that big-play upside. In the six games played he has received 47 targets, but only 26 receptions. As previously mentioned, the Bears passing defense has been underwhelming giving a chance for his efficiency to go up.

Ben Roethlisberger ($15,000) and Justin Fields ($14,000)

While I am not a fan of either quarterback for this slate, it is highly unlikely that one of these two does not make the optimal. Roethlisberger has averaged only 13.41 FanDuel points per game, but in a low projected score, a middling performance still may make the optimal. Fields has largely disappointed this season and should struggle against this stout Pittsburgh defense. If he is able to get loose on the ground as he did last week, then he will have a chance to make the optimal lineup.
