NFL Injury Update – Fantasy Football, Week 8 (2023)
NFL Injury Update
Brock Purdy (QB) San Francisco 49ers
Welcome back to another episode of The FF Faceoff as we break down the latest news around the NFL. In this NFL Injury Update, we talk about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. How can Sam Darnold step into the QB1 role this week if Purdy does in fact miss Week 8? Last year, Darnold was surprisingly solid in the little action that he saw.
Kyler Murray (QB) Arizona Cardinals
Later, we discuss Kyler Murray and break down the outlook for this Arizona Cardinals offense. Joshua Dobbs has been serviceable this year, but Murray has been removed from the injury reports and could be back soon. Not to mention, the Cardinals are at the bottom of the division at 1-6. Murray is officially listed as doubtful against the Ravens with his knee injury. However, all things are pointing at a potential return sooner rather than later.
Kenneth Walker (RB) Seattle Seahawks
Staying in the NFC West, the Seattle Seahawks had running back Kenneth Walker pop up on the injury report earlier this week with a calf issue. However, they never gave him an actual injury designation. Ultimately, I’d expect him to play in this tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns, who have been one of the toughest defenses in the NFL this year so far.
