NFL Super Wild Card Round Player Prop Bets for Monday Games

NFL-Super-Wild-Card-Round-Player-Prop-Bets-for-Monday-Games

Monday is the final day of Super Wild Card Weekend for 2024. The first matchup is between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Buffalo Bills. Then, we finish the slate with a rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here, we’ll be breaking down our favorite player prop bets to target.

While fans will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, sports bettors only care about making money. However, which prop bets will lead to cash in their pockets? Here are my five favorite player prop bets for Monday’s Wild Card Weekend games. Let’s get right into it.

All props and odds are from DraftKings.

Josh Allen to Score an Anytime Touchdown (-115)

Yesterday, the NFL moved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills game from Sunday afternoon to Monday evening because of New York’s travel ban and the blizzard threat. While the weather won’t be as awful on Monday, it’s still far from ideal playing conditions. It will feel like six degrees, with 14 MPH winds and snow showers for this game. Thankfully, the poor weather will only increase the odds that this prop bet will hit.

Despite all the talk in the offseason about cutting back on Allen’s rushing workload, the superstar had 15 touchdowns during the regular season, ranking first among quarterbacks and the second-most in the NFL. Furthermore, he was consistently a part of the Bills’ rushing attack. He had at least one rushing touchdown in over 70% of the games, including 10 of the past 12 and five straight before last week. Hopefully, the team will reconsider and put a roof on their new stadium.

Najee Harris Over 15.5 Rushing Attempts (-120)

The weather will cause both teams to lean on their rushing attack on Monday afternoon. However, that was the game plan for the Steelers regardless. Mason Rudolph took over as the starting quarterback in Week 16. Pittsburgh hasn’t lost a game with him under center, but their rushing attack got them into the playoffs. Harris averaged 15 rushing attempts per game during the regular season, slightly down from last year.

Yet, the former Alabama star averaged 24 rushing attempts per game with Rudolph starting, totaling at least 19 in every contest. Furthermore, he had earned a larger role in the run game during the second half this season, totaling 16 or more rushing attempts in 60% of the contests since Week 8. Meanwhile, opposing running backs had the third-fewest rushing attempts against the Bills during the regular season. However, expect the Steelers to lean on their running game, especially given the weather.

DeVonta Smith Over 66.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Unfortunately, Smith’s role on offense was inconsistent during the regular season. However, the former Alabama star wide receiver should have a significant target share against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Philadelphia Eagles will be without A.J. Brown because of a knee injury, making Smith the No. 1 wide receiver for the first time since his rookie year. Despite playing alongside the superstar wide receiver, Smith averaged over 66 receiving yards in 2022 and 2023.

Furthermore, the third-year wide receiver had at least 73 receiving in half of the regular season games, including five of the past seven contests. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers surrendered the fourth-most receiving yards to wide receivers during the regular season, giving up 178.6 per game. When these two teams faced off in Week 3, the Eagles wide receivers had over 215 receiving yards. Expect Philadelphia to take advantage of Smith’s big-play ability against a sub-par Tampa Bay secondary.

Mike Evans Over 65.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Many expected Evans to struggle this season after the team signed Baker Mayfield to replace Tom Brady. Instead, the star wide receiver had his best year since 2018. The former Texas A&M star averaged 73.8 receiving yards per game, only 1.1 fewer than last season. He had at least 66 receiving yards in half of the games during the regular season, including two of the past three contests. More importantly, the star wide receiver was significantly better at home than on the road.

Evans averaged 102.9 receiving yards per game at Raymond James Stadium. By comparison, he averaged only 48 receiving yards per game on the road. The star receiver had 70 or more receiving yards in 75% of the games at home. Meanwhile, Evans totaled 70 or more yards in only 22.2% of the games away from Tampa Bay. The Eagles surrendered 184.5 receiving yards per game to wide receivers during the regular season, the second-most in the NFL.

Dallas Goedert Over 47.5 Receiving Yards (-130)

Anyone who had Goedert on their fantasy football team knows the tight end can be inconsistent because of Philadelphia’s two elite wide receivers. However, he should have an increased target share in this playoff matchup, with A.J. Brown unable to play because of a knee injury. Despite an inconsistent target share, Goedert averaged 42.3 receiving yards per game during the regular season. Furthermore, he averaged 49 receiving yards per game since Week 1 if you exclude last week’s contest when the starters got pulled.

More importantly, the star tight end had 41 receiving yards in the Week 3 matchup against the Buccaneers despite Brown going off for 131 yards in the win. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay was one of only four teams to surrender over 1,000 receiving yards to tight ends during the regular season. They gave up 63.2 receiving yards per game to tight ends, allowing 84 or more in three of their past five contests.
