NFL Week 7 – Free Picks and Best Bets

NFL-Week-7-Free-Picks-and-Best-Bets

We had our bye in Week 6 as I celebrated my 40th birthday with friends in Mexico. I couldn’t get any Football on TV there except the Bears and Commanders Thursday Night Football game on Amazon Prime. I am back now, pretty much fully recovered and ready to go in Week 7. Our record now stands at 25-17 overall, 23-12 on sides, and 3-5 on totals.

Check out all of our staff’s Week 7 picks here.

Detroit Lions @ Dallas Cowboys

The Pick: Cowboys -6.5, Under 49

Dak Prescott returns in a great matchup at home vs the lowly Detroit Lions defense. The Cowboys defense will give Jared Goff fits and I expect the Cowboys to take care of business. No doubt the Lions will make some adjustments to their defense by possibly adding in some more zone coverage after playing a ton of man coverage before the bye. I think is total is too high, I see a 27-17 Dallas-type victory here.

Atlanta Falcons @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Pick: Bengals -6.5

Atlanta has played a ton of close games, but I think the Bengals take care of the spread in this matchup. Joe Burrow is starting to really heat up and Tee Higgins is finally off the injury report with that bothersome ankle the past couple of weeks. Look for the Bengals to get on track and for the Falcons to start showing just how bad they are.

Green Bay Packers @ Washington Commanders

The Pick: Over 41

Aaron Rodgers and the passing game have been struggling the past couple of weeks, but this should be a get-right game against the Commanders. Taylor Heinecke will step in at quarterback for the Commanders and I think he will give this offense a little bit of a spark after scoring just 29 points in their last two games.

New York Giants @ Jacksonville Jaguars

The Pick: Giants +3

The Giants don’t seem to be getting much respect from oddsmakers and the betting public, yet they keep on winning and rolling along. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars certainly need this win sitting at 2-4 but they appear somewhat fraudulent after a good start to the year. Daniel Jones is playing better each week while Lawrence is still playing inconsistently. This line is sort of perplexing and I can’t pass it up.

New York Jets @ Denver Broncos

The Pick: Under 37

Brett Rypien will start for the Broncos on Sunday and many people are jokingly saying that he will improve this offense. Not against this Jets defense that is red hot right now. On the other side, Zach Wilson and this Jets offense are certain to struggle against an absolute stout Denver defense. I don’t think we reach 34 points in this game unless we get a couple of defensive or special teams touchdowns.

Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Chargers

The Pick: Over 50

I expected that Seattle, Arizona game to go over last week, but Arizona has just been weird all year on offense and Seattle kicked 900 field goals. Things should return to normal this week as Geno Smith and Justin Herbert toss the rock back and forth all game. These teams are both allowing over 25 points per game, with the Chargers recently allowing 24 and 28 to Houston and Cleveland, respectively. Seattle allowed 45 to Detroit then 39 to the Saints. The shootout is likely coming, get your DFS stacks loaded.
