Declan Rice

Declan Rice has spent his entire professional career at West Ham after having risen through the academy at the London club. Since his first showing in 2017, he has racked up more than 195 league appearances and was named captain of the club when Mark Noble retired in 2022. During that time, the 24-year-old has also become a mainstay in Gareth Southgate’s England side, with 41 outings for the Three Lions to date.

There’s no doubt that Rice is one of the greatest assets West Ham has ever had, with many people regarding the Englishman among the best midfielders in the world already. However, it’s clear that Rice believes that he deserves a shot at silverware in his career, and he realizes that he is unlikely to get any at the London Stadium. Despite having been loyal to the Irons to this point, Rice is now itching for a move away. He has refused to sign a contract extension, meaning that the club may have to sell this summer if they want to get maximum value for the player.

Some reports suggest that Rice could fetch upwards of $100 million, with David Moyes having previously claimed that the player is worth $186 million. There are certain teams that would be willing to pay that, though. According to the bookies, the most likely destination for Rice is Chelsea.
