Wrapping up Week 13, we have a primetime Monday Night Football matchup. The 7-5 Denver Broncos led by standout rookie quarterback Bo Nix will be hosting the Cleveland Browns. Jameis Winston and the Browns are currently 3-8. This MNF matchup kicks off at 8:15 PM, EST. Read on to discover my top picks for NFL player props in Week 13 for this thrilling MNF showdown.
All props are from DraftKings Sportsbook.
Bo Nix Over 220.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Nix got off to a slow start this season, averaging only 165 passing yards per game over the first month. However, the former Oregon star has played well lately, pushing his yearly average to 212.3 passing yards per game. Furthermore, he has averaged 260.4 passing yards per game over the past five weeks, totaling 270 or more in 60% of the contests, including in back-to-back matchups. More importantly, the Browns’ pass defense has struggled.
Cleveland had an impressive pass defense earlier this season, holding quarterbacks to 191.3 passing yards per game over the first four weeks. However, their yearly average is up to 230.5 passing yards per game. More importantly, the Browns have surrendered 252.9 passing yards per game to quarterbacks over the past eight weeks. They have given up 272.3 passing yards per game over their past four contests, including surrendering 270 to Russell Wilson last week in the snow.
Jameis Winston Over 224.5 Passing Yards (-120)
Anyone with Winston on their fantasy football team knows the veteran is a boom-or-bust quarterback. However, he has been consistent when it comes to putting up passing yards. The former No. 1 NFL Draft pick has averaged 295.8 passing yards per game in his four starts this season, totaling 334 or more twice. Furthermore, Winston had at least 235 passing yards in every start before last week’s matchup in the snow against the Pittsburgh Steelers, totaling 219.
While the Broncos have one of the top defenses in the NFL, they have struggled to slow down passing attacks lately. Denver held quarterbacks to 197.3 passing yards per game over the first eight weeks, surrendering 171 or fewer in nearly half the contests, allowing them to total more than 225 only twice. However, the Broncos have surrendered 259.3 passing yards per game to quarterbacks over the past month, giving 266 or more in all but one contest.
Courtland Sutton Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
The veteran wide receiver had a slow start to the season, with Nix finding his footing in the NFL. Sutton averaged only 44.8 receiving yards per game over the first five weeks. However, he has pushed his yearly average to 62 receiving yards per game despite having a zero-target performance in the Week 7 win over the New Orleans Saints. Yet, Sutton has been outstanding since the goose egg performance.
Last week, the star receiver had 97 receiving yards against the Las Vegas Raiders, his third performance with at least 95 yards over the past five weeks. Furthermore, Sutton has averaged 93.4 receiving yards per game over the past five weeks, totaling at least 70 in every contest. Meanwhile, Cleveland has surrendered 79.9 receiving yards per game to opposing No. 1 wide receivers, including at least 112 in nearly a third of their matchups.
Jerry Jeudy Over 58.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Unfortunately, Cedric Tillman likely won’t play Monday night because of a concussion. Therefore, Jeudy should be Winston’s clear-cut go-to wide receiver. The veteran has played well with Winston under center after struggling with Deshaun Watson. Jeudy has averaged 94.8 receiving yards per game in Winston’s four starts this year. Furthermore, the former Alabama star has totaled 73 or more receiving yards in all four contests, including at least 85 in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Patrick Surtain II is the leader of Denver’s secondary and the top cornerback in the NFL. The Broncos held No. 1 wide receivers to 40.3 receiving yards per game over the first eight weeks, surrendering 57 or fewer in all but one contest. However, they have struggled over the past month, giving up 91.3 receiving yards per game, allowing 120 or more in half the contests, including 121 to Jakobi Meyers last week.
Devaughn Vele Over 31.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Vele started the year as a feel-good story. The former Utah star was a late seventh-round draft pick but made the opening 53-man roster. While he missed time to start the season with an injury, the rookie has played well since returning to the lineup. Vele has averaged 46 receiving yards per game over the past seven weeks, totaling 65 or more yards in nearly half the contests. Furthermore, he has been outstanding lately.
Over the past two weeks, the rookie has stepped up as Nix’s clear-cut No. 2 wide receiver, totaling 66 or more receiving yards in both games. Furthermore, Vele is coming off a career-high nine targets and 80 receiving yards last week. Meanwhile, the Browns have faced multiple sub-par passing attacks lately. However, they gave up 245 receiving yards to the Los Angeles Chargers’ wide receivers in Week 9, including 118 to Quentin Johnston. Don’t be afraid to attack this NFL player prop as one of our best bets on this MNF showdown.
