Tony Pollard Fantasy Football Outlook (2024)

Many expected Pollard to be back with the Dallas Cowboys next season. Reportedly, the former Memphis star would have taken less money to return to Dallas. However, the Cowboys couldn’t get close to Pollard’s deal with the Titans.

The explosive running back is coming off a disappointing 2023 season. Pollard was supposed to become a fantasy superstar as the featured running back after the Cowboys moved on from Ezekiel Elliott. Instead, he struggled, ending the year as the RB15, averaging 11.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game despite having 59 more rushing attempts than the season before.

While everyone in the fantasy football community expected Tyjae Spears to become Tennessee’s featured running back in 2024, that dream is dead. However, Pollard and Spears should be co-starters for new head coach Brian Callahan.

Fantasy players would have loved for Pollard to stay in Dallas. However, he and Spears are still appealing fantasy options next season and in the long run. While the Titans signed Calvin Ridley to a massive deal in free agency, their offense still lacks playmakers. Therefore, both running backs could have 12-15 touches per game, providing solid low-end RB2 production.

Furthermore, the team improved their offensive line in free agency, signing Lloyd Cushenberry at center. Tennessee is also expected to use their first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on an elite left tackle prospect.
