Top 10 Devy Prospects for 2024 and 2025

Top-10-Devy-Prospects-for-2024-and-2025

Today, I’ll be covering some of the top college and Devy prospects for the 2024 NFL Draft class and beyond. Some of these players are 2025 draft-eligible, and some may not commit to entering the Draft in 2024. Either way, here are the top 10 prospects in college football that you should know looking ahead at the 2024 and 2025 NFL Draft classes.

When looking at drafts for a Devy or Campus to Canton league, there are different ideals to consider as opposed to a dynasty startup or rookie drafts. Drafting college players before they reach the NFL level makes you consider all players’ long-term outlook, and allows extra focus on your roster construction. In addition to the proper patience needed for your assets. In certain rebuilds, the college players you’ve acquired in years past can accelerate your NFL rosters timeline or allow you the liquidity to find NFL production in other players.

These leagues are built for managers who are always looking to the future. Every Devy draft is an opportunity to improve your team in a multitude of ways. Naturally, that all begins with the high-end talent you can get from each draft. In this article, we’ll examine 10 players that should be at the top of the college game in 2023 and the professional level soon.

1. Caleb Williams – Quarterback, USC

NFL Draft Eligible: 2024

The top two college players going into the 2023 college football season are USC’s Caleb Williams and Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. They both show ability that should become lineup staples for NFL teams, starting in 2024. Williams enjoys the upper hand for the purposes of this article. He possesses elite skills at the most important fantasy position, making him a Trevor Lawrence-like commodity when he’s drafted.

He’s been a productive starter in Lincoln Riley’s offense for two seasons, even showing growth following a transfer to the Trojans in 2022. Last season, he posted a 42 touchdown to 5 interception ratio while throwing for over 4500 yards. He should have an NFL offense suiting his rushing and throwing skillset and should be considered the top prospect in the 2024 Draft. This is the type of player you hold and wait to hit. It’s not a matter of if, but when.

2. Marvin Harrison Jr. – Wide Receiver, Ohio State

NFL Draft Eligible: 2024

Both Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. have something in common going into 2023, a massive amount of hype behind their name. All eyeballs are on them. Most Devy players and even some dynasty players are already well aware of the high-end ability of these players. Their value in name recognition is an important ingredient to building your roster if you own them. They need to be valued highly if on your roster, and if you have the opportunity to acquire them, understand there is even more opportunity for growth.

Harrison Jr. could be a Ja’Marr Chase-level talent coming into the league. Harrison Jr. is the top wide receiver at a university known for producing at the position recently. He grew into a full-time role for the Buckeyes in 2022, accumulating 1,263 yards on 77 catches while scoring a formidable 14 touchdowns. Harrison Jr.’s projected draft capital of at least a top-10 pick in 2024, paired with his skills as the best receiver since Chase in 2021, has sprung him above Drake Maye for now. Many fantasy players already value Harrison Jr. as if he’s produced at the next level, this kind of asset is difficult to find outside of top quarterback prospects.

3. Drake Maye – Quarterback, North Carolina

NFL Draft Eligible: 2024

In a world without Caleb Williams, Drake Maye would likely be 2024’s NFL and rookie draft 1.01. Unfortunately, Maye will reside in third for many behind Harrison Jr. and Williams. What is fortunate for Maye, as well as his current and future owners, is that he showed as much high-end ability as those two in 2022. He himself had a 38 touchdown to 7 interception ratio while completing 66% of his pass attempts. Furthermore, he is a pocket passer who can produce even more with talented playmakers around him.

Maye’s touchdown threat in the air and on the ground should be able to put him into QB1 discussions as he progresses in the NFL. Maye is a great processor and has a smooth, strong arm that allows him to make all the necessary throws. This is a player who can be special and could become the best value for Devy owners going into 2023. He should follow up his strong sophomore season with an encore, while also proving to be a worthy long-term asset for fantasy managers.

4. TreVeyon Henderson – Running Back, Ohio State

NFL Draft Eligible: 2024

Listing Ohio State talents is the easy part, but projecting their outlook is a bit more difficult. TreVeyon Henderson is a running back going into his third season for the Buckeyes. He should be healthy and show why he can be valued to this degree in 2023. In his freshman year, he ran for 15 touchdowns while gaining 1,248 yards. He also caught 27 balls and gained another 312 yards in the receiving game.

Henderson battled an injury involving torn foot ligaments last season, stemming from a September game against the Toledo Rockets. He would still rush for nearly 600 yards in 2022, and his best games came in the two weeks following that injury. He was playing through a very difficult injury and still producing. Henderson’s quickness and receiving game should translate right away at the NFL level, his skillset fits most NFL team landscapes. Between him and our next prospect, the benefit to Henderson is being a similarly talented player while also being able eligible one season earlier.

5. Nick Singleton – Running Back, Penn State

NFL Draft Eligible: 2025

Our first listed player with NFL eligibility starting in 2025, is Penn State running back Nick Singleton. Singleton was able to have a strong freshman season in 2022 after being the top-ranked running back in his recruiting class. He would rush for 1,061 yards and 12 touchdowns while sharing the backfield with fellow true freshman Kaytron Allen, who would rush for 867 yards and 10 touchdowns himself.

Singleton has yet another 2025 prospect in his backfield in the shape of quarterback Drew Allar. Between Allen, Allar, and Singleton, expect production out of this trio in 2023 and over the next few years. Singleton has similar elusiveness to Henderson while displaying a bit more strength in the trenches. Singleton can win both outside and between the tackles, although Kaytron Allen put up more numbers in the receiving game in 2022. He should be coming into the league both fresh and having produced from the beginning in college.

6. Brock Bowers – Tight End, Georgia

NFL Draft Eligible: 2024

The top tight end in college may also be the best prospect at the position for some years. Bowers has caught 20 touchdowns in his two seasons as Georgia’s top receiving option. He shows versatility where he lines up and his speed-plus size combination should allow him to become a quarterback’s top option at the next level. There’s a lack of high-end talent in this position both at the NFL and college level, making Bowers that much more vital to whoever has the benefit of owning him. We have another SEC tight end with athletic ability and the production to go with it. Draft Bowers, hold Bowers, value Bowers.

7. Quinn Ewers – Quarterback, Texas

NFL Draft Eligible: 2024

The next two players listed are quarterbacks, one eligible starting in 2024, the other in 2025. They are Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Clemson’s Cade Klubnik. Ewers currently edges out Klubnik due to having put more on paper and tape. Ewers may face resistance from future Longhorn starter Arch Manning, but Ewers should lead the 2023 Texas team while distributing the ball to fellow 2024 prospects Xavier Worthy and Ja’Tavion Sanders.

Ewers makes smart plays, goes through his reads, and is able to make multiple throws from the pocket. This player needs to put all those skills together in 2023 and show game-to-game consistency in the box score and lineup. If that does happen, this is a player whose talent can be considered right behind Drake Maye in 2024.

8. Cade Klubnik – Quarterback, Clemson

NFL Draft Eligible: 2025

Cade Klubnik 2022 numbers don’t pop off the screen. However, the goal of this article is to understand a player’s high-end ability and the need to take a shot at players reaching that level. Klubnik was the top quarterback prospect in his recruiting class and took over as Clemson’s starter in his first college season. Klubnik is a pocket passer with some wheels in a slighter frame, and he returns with talents around him in 2023. Furthermore, he has fellow 2025 prospect and top receiver Antonio Williams. As well as 2024-eligible Will Shipley to share a backfield with.

Klubnik is the least experienced player listed here, but those two players plus more should allow Klubnik two years to match his production to his talent. He was named ACC Championship MVP in 2022, during a Clemson 39-10 victory against a Drake Maye-led North Carolina team. He would go 20-24 while passing and rushing for one touchdown each, proving he belongs at this level. Expect Klubnik to begin taking big strides in 2023.

9. Quinshon Judkins – Running Back, Ole Miss

NFL Draft Eligible: 2025

Nick Singleton and Quinshon Judkins lead the 2025 running back class as of right now. Georgia’s Branson Robinson and Cal’s Jaydn Ott are not far behind. Judkins is a former three-star recruit who supplanted Zach Evans during Judkins Freshman season. Judkins rushed for 1567 yards and 16 touchdowns in the SEC last year.

This running back has a bell cow build, even if that distinction doesn’t exist volume-wise at the NFL level currently. Judkins displays terrific strength between the tackles particularly, evidenced by a 5.7 yards per rush average in the college games premier conference. Judkins has shown he’s a name to watch for going forward. Watching him grow into his strength and expand his abilities should be a joy until he’s drafted highly in 2025.

10. Braelon Allen – Running Back, Wisconsin

NFL Draft Eligible: 2024

We circle back to 2024 for the last name and that player is Wisconsin’s own Braelon Allen. Youth is the name of the game for many in Devy and overall fantasy spaces. This player will be 20 his entire first NFL season and has shown desired rushing production at the college level. He ran for 1268 yards at the age of 17, and another 1,242 yards this past season. He did that with the Badgers having little threat in the passing game. Allen has still produced 12 and 11 touchdown seasons despite playing many stacked boxes.

Some may knock Allen’s lack of prolific receiving game himself. We have seen players such as Kenneth Walker come in with similar concerns, but the overall rushing ability overrides that worry, mainly due to Allen’s touchdown upside. This player has an NFL body already and should be a team’s top rushing option for at least four seasons. Once he hits that contract mark, he still will only be 24 years of age. Invest and hold, please.

In the end, many players could be considered top Devy and Campus to Canton prospects. The joy of those leagues is the diversity in values and knowledge between managers. This list could’ve included two more quarterbacks like 2026’s Arch Manning or Cam Ward. Others may have included players like 2025 receiver Evan Stewart and 2024’s Raheim Sanders. These deep and long-term fantasy formats allow you to take big swings on college talent you’re clued in on, as well as incredible depth if you hit on those later Devy draft picks. Go out there and take some big swings, while also understanding who the best prospects currently are.
