Week 3 of the 2024 fantasy football season is officially here. As we look ahead to a full slate of Sunday action, now is a great time to grab a streaming DST option off the waiver wire. Unless you’re rostering a top DST such as the New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, or Baltimore Ravens, you might be looking for a better option to grab for the week. Continue reading to check out 3 NFL DST streaming options for Week 3.

Top 3 DST Streaming Options – Week 3

There are a few key factors that we’re considering when looking to stream a DST. Notably, you might want to consider home teams who have a low point total according to a top sportsbook such as DraftKings. Continue reading to check out our 3 top DST streaming options for this week.

Las Vegas Raiders DST vs. Carolina Panthers

Sleeper Ownership Percentage: 6.4% As of 9/17, 41% on 9/18

After the shocking news of second-year quarterback Bryce Young getting benched, Andy Dalton will face off with the Las Vegas Raiders this week. The Raiders defense has three sacks so far this year, despite tough road matchups against the Chargers and Ravens.

This isn’t a great defensive unit outside of Maxx Crosby, but the matchup is too good to ignore. The Panthers have scored just 13 points through two weeks. Look for the Raiders to pressure Dalton heavily and potentially force a turnover or two. Despite a quarterback change, this offense just looks awful and after starting off 0-2 and dealing with a quarterback change, things could get ugly for the Panthers this year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers DST vs. Denver Broncos

Sleeper Ownership Percentage: 41% As of 9/17, 66% on 9/18

Despite dealing with some injuries on the defensive side, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-0 and get a home game against the Denver Broncos. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix will get the start and already has racked up four interceptions, throwing two in each game so far. He’s also yet to throw his first NFL touchdown.

For the Buccaneers, they’ve suffered injuries to two of their best players. Antoine Winfield missed Week 2 with an ankle injury and is questionable for Week 3. Additionally, Vita Vea suffered an MCL sprain and is day to day. However, this Bucs defense has allowed just 18 points per game so far and no team has thrown a passing touchdown on them. Even a powerful offense with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, and Jahmyr Gibbs. Despite injuries, you can confidently start this defense to have a big day against a struggling rookie quarterback.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Miami Dolphins

Sleeper Ownership Percentage: 41% As of 9/17, 52% on 9/18

After losing Tua Tagovailoa to another unfortunate concussion, the Miami Dolphins have some serious issues to deal with. As one of the lowest point totals on the slate, this game has an over/under of 41 according to DraftKings. Geno Smith and the Seahawks have made some noise early on this year and sit at the top of a tough NFC West division at 2-0.

So far this year, the Seattle defense has 5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. With a couple of easy games to start the year, they’ve faced Nix and Jacoby Brissett. Last week, the Seahawks sacked Brissett three times. Now, Seattle faces off with Skylar Thompson.

In his two-year NFL career, Thompson has started in just three games. In 2023, he wasn’t even on an NFL roster. During those games, he had one against the Bills where he went 18/45 for 220 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. In one of the other two games, he threw for 166 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 1 interception. In the third game, he went 20/31 for 152 yards 0 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. Needless to say, it’s not been great. Despite an elite passing attack with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
